Since the introduction of the Eagles to the VFL/AFL , WA has just one player who has played 300 games or more.
So doesn't it seem strange that some people don't see travel for the WA clubs as an issue for the longevity of players here in WA?
South Australia, who have a raft of 300 gamers, are just a five minute flight over the border to most venues.
Travel has no influence on career longevity!!!!!

Interesting plane trip of 5 minutes A/man. It would seem obvious that the length and frequency of long plane trips must have an impact on the longevity of players' careers.

Was it a 104 point issue?

I believe Richmond scored fewer points than their opposition and as a consequence they were awarded 0 premiership points. Remarkably Fremantle received the same number of premiership points.

Travelling every second week is a huge hurdle for both WA AFL Clubs to manage, it also must affect longer term the longevity of players careers on what we know from the science of the effects on the body of air travel.
It makes the premierships that the Eags and the Lions have won even more meritorious.
