Must have run out of time to address all the other more important issues sweeping the media. I would have love to know his view on fyfe, Ballentyne, toxic player group etc.

Had the opportunity to put them to bed, or not.

And by the way Harris doesn't work at the club anymore Einstien how about doing your home work before you embarrass your self again.

Why it's not hard to work out the bullshit all you have to do is look at who is breaking the stories, if there is no actual quotes from players or coaches it's all speculation from probably the worsed journos in Australia and I use that term loosely.

Well, you can call 'Em out if you want Peter, but unless you have some pull with the Media, like West Coast's Gary Stocks(locally anyway),the stories will keep on coming.

So how do you stem the negative flow of stories, even if they're blatantly untrue?Sue them?Maybe, but sport tends to operate a little differently to the rest of society,or individual sportsmen, who would probably sue in advice of their managers, rather than their clubs.

Couldn't hear what was on 360,as the sound was off amongst the Dishlickers' Races at the TAB.I daresay Footy Classified will have something, but to what extent?

Grassy i don't think the Dockers are concerned, Lyon only answered the questions that were put to him he hasn't bought the issue up or has the club regarding the rumours.

Youre right ýou can't stop the negative stories i just find it funny when certain idiots come on here posting shit like this player is leaving or that player as if its the truth, surely you need a bit substance to back up your story, Belly says something and knobs in the media spin to make it sound something completely different to what he said.

No doubt you would be a subscriber to Woman's Day and New Idea so you can keep up with the daily gossip.

How'd you know Pete?

First article, freo are recruiting McCarthy and Brad Hill. No one is leaving.

It would be a funny read.

Probably right about McCarthy and Hill I reckon they'll be at least two retirements, four delistings and probably four trades but that's no secret, and hopefully for your sake Balla crumbing at Kennedy's feet.

Personally I can't think of one quality sports journalist. For the supporters of K Hagdorn and others of his ilk, list the players that he has said would be coming to Freo and the players he said would be leaving and indicate whether he was correct or not. Perhaps you can start with Lachie Neale.

As an example of the lack of quality of the sports journalists read the link below by Steve Butler:

au.sports.yahoo.com/rio-2016/a/32336153/...-rio-campaign/#page1

What a hack piece. Where were the comments about how successful the Kookaburras have been over the past 40 years. How many countries had won a Men's hockey medau since 1992? How many countries have done it? Since they started playing on artificial turf in 1976 how many countries have won more than one Men's Hockey Gold medal? Anyone who knows anything whatsoever about hockey would not have used the term "raging gold medal favourites". The line between success and failure at Men's Hockey tournaments at the Olympics is very fine. For example, the Gold medal winner and the Silver medal winners in the Sydney Olympics would not have even made the fnals but for two major upsets in the last round of the qualifying matches.

By any measure the Kookaburras have been one of if not the most successful Australian sporting team in the last 40 years.

Swan I don't get your point, the story is clearly about the performance at THESE games, no about the History of the Kookas, theres no point sugar coating a crap performance this time around , worst in decades - talking about ancient history of past glories, The story is all about Rio 2016 - fact is as stated they went in raging favs and flopped very badly, sadly it seems a trend at these games, the Hockeyroos followed on their heals, and that's before we get to the swim team. Stingers went out as well with no medal which was first for them in a number of games. A hack piece would of been some jingoistic band aid job covering it up with past performances.
