Anchor...they ain't goin nowhere in the finals. Straight exit unless they can pull a rabbit out of the hat. They should have flogged Carlcheat by 10+ goals if they think they are a top 4 side.

Again so many of their home super stars did nothing. It is a common occurence with them.Pressure goes on and they go walk about.

They can't go out in straight sets if they finish 7th A/M, because the first defeat would mean the end of their season. I agree though that they will struggle to have an impact although they would have a chance of progressing beyond week 1 if they finish 5th or 6th because they do tend to win a majority of their games at home.

At least WC have given themselves the opportunity to play finals again in 2016.. Who really knows where they will finish but they have backed up again unlike other clubs who most people thought would of been around the mark..

Losers make excuses winners make sacrifices..

A very lucky win is a lot better than an unlucky loss.

The Eagles were not lucky to win the game as our good friend Anchorman would have us believe.

They led at every change, led all day and yes yes yes they should have won by more and when the lead went out to 33 points,58shark is right they should have won by 9 or 10 goals.
They took the foot well and truly off the pedal (and they shouldnt have) and Carlton came, but they were never in danger of losing and please dont say if the game went for another 5 minutes Carlton would have won,a game goes as long as it does and who is in front when that siren sounds wins, simple.

Every season bottom teams come at teams in the 8 and make a real game of it especially on home turf (as Freo did against Geelong),its not all doom and gloom when that happens providing you get the 4 points.

Did the win end up being a "win ugly",my oath it did.
Do the Eagles have a lot of work to do before they could consider being a threat come finals,my f#cking oath they do.

The way i see it they will finish anywhere from 4th to 7th.
Next weeks game against the Pies is the game that will tell a story imo for the rest of the season, win that and i reckon they are a genuine chance against GWS in Sydney
Of course they do have to get over Melbourne this weekend first(and Freo).
Theres 6 weeks to go and anything could happen to any team eg injuries to key players.

I reckon there are a lot of teams sitting below the Eagles that going into round 17 wouldnt mind being in the position they are in of 1 game from second spot and 2 games from top spot.
Theres a fair bit to be played out yet before making bold predictions who finishes where.

30plus made some very good points. I put my vitriol down to watching that "ugly win" after watching my beloved Sharks play like they just don't care.

Make no mistake, I would love for Freo to be in the position that the Toasters are in, but we aren't. But still allowed to have a say.

It was probably a better lucky win than Fremantle's unlucky loss. Get over it.

Hathorn can finish 2 games clear of the 2nd - 6Th placed Teams if things fall a certain way.

West Coast won't be one of them and FREMANTLE and ESSENDON certainly won't.

How do you fancy a higher draft pick than us,Pete? B)

Meh not much difference between pick one and five, pick one probably comes with more pressure for the kid.

Some people here have an unhealthy obsession with the FFC.

Quite simple anchor...because we hate freo more than you hate us. Shite, if it was a Collingwood v Freo gf, I'd be with the wobblers all the way
