If commentators cant follow umpiring decisions then how does the average idiot who goes know why the free is paid? Too many rule changes in my opinion. Scrub third man up, scrub chopping the arms, scrub no prior opportunity (some players march forward 10m when held). PAY frees for illegal disposal, not just some. Protect the player on the mark, not just the player with the ball. People dont go because it is no longer the game that they followed & understand.

I think most EPL grounds struggle to hold more than 30k.
AFL still in top 4 for spectator attendance per annum internationally.
Not bad for a 22m country, so GFY.
Aussie soccer players, national and younger will never be that good to take over
as no. 1 sport. Simply because all the best ones will always play EPL. Their cash is unbelievable!
Some of the AFL's rules suck and some will always change.
I believe every team has good players just not good coaches.
Swings and roundabouts.

EPL and Soccer grounds in the UK are generally much smaller , as the pitch is smaller which is obvious, however the super clubs and even lesser clubs in the EPL are building much bigger grounds, of around 60K.

Arsenal Chelsea , Man U Liverpool, Man City all have big grounds and pack them out all the time, as well as having massive waitig lists for seasons tickets.

Resta assured if they had 100K seat stadiums people would still be lining up.

More impostant is the global viewing audience , which makes AFL look like a pimple on Clive Palmers Arse.

Apparently 'e' sports are some of the biggest viewed entertainment on the planet.
Massive prize money, attendance and online viewing.
All to watch people play League of Legends or whatever it is.
Watch out soccer, or even the olympics.
Word has rumoured that due to demand their may even be 'e' sport university
courses available.
(Just throwing it out there)

Had to google what you are talking about there with regards to 'e' sports mate. I'm now sitting back completely gobsmacked and waiting for Skynet and the machines to take over the world.....it's real and it's happening
