Good on him. What a story & what does that say about the WAFL. Great he mentioned Subiaco too, on several occasions. A Brownlow Medallist for life. Doesn't matter the circumstances, in 100 years his name will be on the wall.

He certainly made a few on here look like idiots. Was amusing reading some of the negative bulldust about him. He is a decent kid too by the look of it. I'm happy for him.

Seriously Carnwest that the best you got. To put it bluntly that is an embarrassing response, and frankly very lame.

There is no such thing as a bad brownlow medalist it is one of the toughest individual awards to win in Australian sport.

Congratulations to Mattt Priddis 2014 Brownlow Medalist.

Always rated the bloke. Happy he won it. Pity the so called experts cant see it.These are the same experts that cream em selves over Nic Nat, but wouldnt know a decent footballer if he stared em in the eyes. Never gets "rated" by the buffons ( specially GULP) those over east.

I wouldn't have thought so

What a load of cods, a very good honest footballer who works his arse off, pretty sure both Coacheswould find a spot for him

And Unks you are right, those who spew forth about Nic Nat a star because he can jump - say that Priddis too slow kicks bad etc etc. At least he gets the ball to make the odd mistake

anchorman wrote: Well done by Priddis. Though not one of my favourite players I congratulate him on his success. He is a real battler who gives his all regardless of the position of the game. On another site I selected Kennedy and had Priddis as my smokey.
Have to say that I was hoping as the count got closer to the end that he would hang on.
Well done.

Hey Anchor when did you add that about Ballard, I've been on the Ballard bandwagon for awhile now

Congratulations to Priddis, great player from our WAFL system, and it has been a fantastic 48 hrs for the Subiaco footy club winning the flag and one of their favorite sons winning the Brownlow..

A very worthy and humble winner. He has pretty much carried the West Coast midfield this year and his work ethic would make him a starter in any team.
On another note I'll bet the AFL were relieved that he polled 2 votes in the last game against Gold Coast to push him past Fyfe's tally when any number of West Coast players could have polled that day. Prevented another embarrassing Chris Grant scenario.... phew!

Not wanting to take away from the Priddis post ,but just as a question, who from the AA side would every one pick to drop out for Priddis to go in.
Sorry if I am off track.

My original beef was Pendles out Luke Parker in, but would not have been unhappy if Priddis had pipped Parker, but did not think Pendlebury was at his AA level this year

I'll have a crack A/M. I would have put him on the interchange bench in place of Jordon Lewis who I don't think has been quite as consistent a performer in 2014 and Priddis has had to do it tougher in a mid table team
