Yes I would never ask Swans for a refund of my membership even if there is no footy at all this year. I now see it as an investment in the future of a club that has given me so much joy and good times for 50 years.
Having said that the AFL memberships are much more costly and I recognise that a lot of people are doing it tough at the moment so clubs should be sensitive to peoples circumstances

The thing is AFL "Memberships" are not real memberships, unlike WAFL Memberships were you are actually a real memebr with voting rights and a share in the club.

All a AFL 'membership" provides for most clubs is a seat at a game, they are simply a seasons pass.

And if they are not giving you the seat and the game? Wtf have you actually paid for??

unless you support Collingwood and are a member why would you care what Eddie McGuire says about club membership ?

Yeah it starts off as Collingwood then he takes it on himself to talk on behalf of all the Vic Clubs..

so unless you are a member of one of those clubs and want a return why would you care ?

Are you angry that Swans haven’t paid back their members or any other WAFL clubs ?
Or Glory members ?
I have no idea why unless you were a Collingwood member you would care what he thinks.
But I forget that people like being outraged about things.
