If the rumour about Noble retiring is true, which people on here seem to think it is, I thought it was very poor by the club not to at least make an announcement and thank him for his serviceable 100+ games for the black and whites

Agreed, he was wearing a moon boot and hobbling around so he was at the game.
Good luck to the reserves in the finals, really need some young talent coming thru to decrease the reliance on too many vics coming in and out of our list

Nobes is going travelling and would be unavailable for about half the season next year, maybe he still hasnt decided yet if he will officially hang them up as he turns 31 later in the year?
As for those Vic boys named it has been fairly common knowledge all were heading back home or in Kemp's case to SA for personal reasons, we thank them all for their contributions at Basso and wish them well, not sure why there wasnt any official notification of this from the club but maybe all of the off field stuff took precedence again!!!
It does open up a lot of opportunities for those local boys willing to do the hard work and make those positions their own, we do need to recruit a key forward though especially if Edwards injury is long term, just our luck of late, all bad.
Surely we also need to look in to our spate of injuries which started with 8 of our best 25 before the Rd1 game and only got worse as the year rolled on?!

It didn’t look good but haven’t heard the extent of the injury, poor bloke.
Had a top season
