Great atmosphere at Basso again with both can bars full. Must of been well over 2000 for the crowd. Not the 1100 the West had. A great crowd for 2 teams out of the 5. What sort of crowds would Swans be getting if we where top of the ladder. Surely 3/4000. The Basso crowds and atmosphere have a much better community feel than any other WAFL venue.

Agree Allen, it was a great atmosphere. Bassendean is the best oval to watch footy on a sunny day. I suppose I'm biased but...... Credit to both sets of supporters for turning up in the numbers that they did given the game had no bearing on the finals.

2,631 at Bassendean on Saturday. That would be by far Swans best home crowd of the year. Bolstered of course by the Juniors day and the weather but hopefully some of those young kids come back for more

Mike it was the third biggest crowd of the WAFL season with only 2 x Rd1 games WP vs CL and EP vs Swans with more in attendance!
So much for the Worst guestimate of 1100 
If only we could get our act together on the field that would become a regular type crowd figure at Basso!
As it stands we havent finished on the top of the ladder in the home and away fixtures since 1984.......40 long seasons ago!
