Yes it is Swan do you agree or disagree with what the state Govt and the Theatre trust have done? You must have a view, get off the fence and have the courage to state your view. You would make a great pollie, never answer a question unless it's to pose your own question.

So my question us quite simple, and I think it needs an answer before we go into blame storming, Apparently has this happened, or is someone able to provide us with factual information to confirm this was cancelled for the reasons outlined at the start of the thread?

I guess facts will help us all be able to express our opinions truthfully and not blame political belief's for what we are saying. Can we please get some more clarity around your claim DD?

And Liam Bartlett has spent considerable time on it on 6PR yesterday and today. Basically if the opposition wanted to hire the Perth Concert Hall the Perth Theatre Trust could say no because their views might not be those of the government.

DD and others I have to agree that the refusal to hire out the venues to the Twianese folk is crap.

However the ACL thing is a bit more complex, the ACL if you read their site is a group of christians that despite saying it is abt providing information abt religion and specifically christianity and politics but is focussing on conversion for gay folk which is at odds with a whole lot of policies both right and left wing. 

I do think folk should be able to say what they want but when it starts to alienate or is designed to cause grief for a specific group then ......... . Also this policy used pre dates Sneakers but the chinese one certainly doesn't!

If your so uptight about everything the current WA govt does maybe you should get into politics and run for the next election. Hell the liberal party will take anyone at the moment.
