I think Brodie Gray's numbers are getting hard to ignore.
Like most of our players I am expecting an improvement in disposal.

I am also wondering if it is time to maybe give Robert Worrell a trial

Sam Walsh missed the first 5 games of 2022 with a syndymosis injury in preseason in 2022. Played strongly from round 5 to round 19 after returning. Charlie will be fine in 9-11 weeks.
That is all but season ending for Charlie. This problem can take time and may require surgery which may or may not fix it. Elijah Hewett has been suffering this for a long time and no-one seems to know how to properly deal with it. Hewett saw a Ballerina seeking ideas. That is pretty desperate. Elliott Yeo had a similar problem in addition to a groin injury at the same time.
Looking at the longer term, if he can be back in 11 weeks at the most Charlie may be fit for say round 17/18 plus finals, if we make it. Then it is a question of match fitness.

So, 4 rounds in this year before we start turning our attention to 2025... sadly, I agree with Smokey that finals are a remote prospect without Constable. From here, it's about being competitive and getting some depth into the squad before finally having some luck with injuries and having a healthy squad throughout the season. Plus another couple of top shelf recruits.

In the meantime, we need the likes of J Clark, Newick and Gray to step up. Gray's numbers are good, but he handballs a lot more than he kicks - 28 - 6 in the last game. Maybe that it is a recognition of his disposal problems, and he is being used as a link up player.  Or maybe he lacks confidence in his kicking. Like Gray, Clark has had his chances to cement a spot in the league team but has never quite managed it. Now is his chance. Looking forward 4-5 weeks, maybe Dellamarta will be back, and perhaps some young players like Wills will be pushing for league selection.

Ouch! Let’s not be too pessimistic. Have a little optimism. Remember that East Perth is a powerful talented team. Perth matched them on the scoreboard after quarter time. Yes the damage was done once again in one quarter of footy but Perth were very good after that first quarter….without Charlie Constable and, of course, with a reduced bench. Perth’s other loss was West Perth, when the Falcons blew Perth away in the first quarter. The rest of the game was close. Tighten those lapses, put the goal kicking boots on and wins will come. The injury curse is frustrating but surely all is far from lost just yet.

Not PFC related, but just had a look at the injury lists for the Colts.
PFC has about 7-8 Colts players listed as injured.\

Poor old Claremont also has 6-8 players listed as injured.
ALONG WITH 14. YES 14 UNAVAILABLE BECAUSE OF PSA COMMITMENTS.
FMD.
HOW MANY ARE YOU ALLOWED ON A COLTS LIST??????
IF YOU ARE CLAREMONT????????
