What a stupid comment.

Shark would have followed the Eagles long before Freo came on the scene to me that shows loyalty.

Do all Perth supporters come from within the Perth district???course not you idiot!

I wonder if the Eagles realize there are actually going to be 4 quarters this week or if they even have the tank to run out a full game??

I'm sure Shueys ball hogging, Nic Nats all at sea approach to football will help get them through. Maybe Cox's dominant tap downs to opposition mids will help or one of Kennedy's many points will get them over the line.

Maybe that front runner crowd of theirs might actually cheer them to the lead or even better stay in the ground when they fall behind. Glass could even actually play the ball for a change instead of the man who knows?? In all seriousness if Darling actually runs to a contest and stops playing for frees and selwood and gaff can manage to just maybe once stand through a tackle the eagles might not lose by too much but will still be able to hold there heads high and talk about there tainted past which means absolutely jack. Good Luck Eagles :woohoo:

jardine wrote: How can anyone question who follows what AFL club ??
I'm West Aussie but buggered if I would ever follow anyone but the mighty Kangaroos.

I too see it as a club comp not a State of Origin one.
Considering WA clubs are full of Victorians, and VIC clubs are full of West Aussies, this argument of supporting your "state" is predominantly baseless.

Beauntifully put jardine. I've argued this fer years!. Sick of (MOSTLY) the WA media who put this WA v Vic spin on footy. Its a club ya support. Being a vic i'd barrack for either WA team against say Hawks Carlton etc. My personal fav is "if the Eags dont win i hope the dockers do"... WTF, ya should dispise ya local neighbour in footy terms. Bit like saying to WAFL diehards if East Freo dont win i hope Sth Freo do!!!

A/Man I agree with you. (for a change) So many people supported/followed a VFL team, but when the Eagles came in, a lot, started supporting them. If you asked the reason, they would say "they're a WA team, we're finally got a side in"
Rightly or wrongly, this was the reason a lot changed and had them as their first supported club, or like me, my second club. North Melbourne was and still is my first club. Hence also why when Freo came in, they became my second club, as I was an EF supporter.
While totally agreeing that it shouldn't be a East/West thing, the crap I have copped over the years, for not supporting a "WA" club, shows to me that, whether we like it or not, there is a wide leaning towards people simply doing it because they are WA clubs.

Yep, he won that one. Makes the score Lurch 1, Cox 20

My point being anchor, neither one could lay claim to be anywhere near as good as Cox. When Lurch strings 5, 10, 20 good games together, let's debate this again.

58 Do try and gain some perspective and objectivity. I cant remember either cox or hairdo get anywhere near Sandi on the day. But I don't bang on and pretend I am an authority. To say Sandi is not anywher near as good as Cox (this is what you said) is laughable. Everyone is laughing at you from this point unless there is a retraction.

To say that they are both good ruck men and Cox may have the edge because he is a premership ruckman is balanced. You are obviously not.

Will look at your future posts without seriousness.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Coxy is the bast ruckman i have seen, Sandilands is just "another" good ruckman. Sure coxy is past his best, BUT ive never seen a man as dual sided as him given his height/size, who could hit a target EITHER foot at top speed. At times he was like an additional mid fielder. Sandilands is basically a tap ruckman, who in the "odd game" takes some telling marks, i repeat ODD OCASSION.
