Its a real pity the John Townsend videos have stopped, what happended?

Has anyone also noticed the WAFL App is not as good?

This is John Townsend’s post on twitter about the demise of the WAFL show.
“sad to say that #WAFL Show has hung up the boots.

Thanks to all @WAFLOfficial clubs, coaches and particularly players for their support, including WS faves @calwalley @HSchloithe Tim Kelly @n_blakely Cody Ninyette, Brock Higgins + George Hampson.

Special thanks @muppetrocks1”

Yep agree wag...the teams are on the WAFL website under the team selection portal and have been since last night. The phone app has been upgraded this year and you need to upload it from the app store. I'm not sure if it gives live progress scores during the game or just the result when it's finished as I got into Perth late last Saturday but will check it out tomorrow. I also can't see where it shows live player stats like last year so maybe that's a change for the worse.

Hi BC
All the live stats are there as before, it’s just a different layout.
You can check out last weeks as an example. Choose round one from the tab on the top left, then choose the game. It’s not bad. Team selections are there as well, it’s a link to the website from the menu in the top right

And once you have the match open you can scroll down to see the score graph. The player stats are a seperate selection on the right top. You can filter by both teams or individual team.

Yep...saw all that Singha but the player stats in top right looks like its a total for the year. The old app had individual players stats as part of the game day match centre which doesn't appear to be the same this year....maybe I'm missing something but will give it a proper road test tomorrow.

Where is this WAFL review after round 1? Not there this year is it? I can't find it. Loved having a WAFL show weekly on the west newspaper website.

I hope the new CEO of WAFL can heed this and follow the SANFL approach. When you got the rich Eagles and Fremantle making decent profit and WAFC benefiting from this you'll think there is enough coin to pay for online video streaming of games.

About the only thing available is this, www.wafootball.com.au/news/16717/tabtouch-wafl-team-of-round-1
Cannot see any other reviews for the opening week of fixtures?
Don't place too much faith or hope in the new Wafl manager, as you will probably come away disappointed!

Thanks, WAG, I can't help but chuckle at your steadfast refusal to mention "East Perth" (i.e. the Claremont match in Week 3 and the April 25 Perth match) even though the alignment (war?) is over.
