There's an article in today's West by JT where Bolton says the crowd were giving it to him all day and drove him on a bit. When he kicked the goal after the siren to get the win he give it back to them...pretty much all it was....it didn't go into what was being called out to him or by whom.

Only around the umpires at the breaks and behind the goals during the game from what I've seen.

I think there is a ground manager also employed by the club who has the general responsibilty of security amongst other things.
As I said I was out on the scoreboard wing for most of the day so I can't really comment what was being shouted in other parts of the ground. I did hear some stuff directed at Richardson which was fairly normal banter and not abusive.

In general I don't think its a great idea for players to interact with crowd members in that way. Boltons actions after the siren could have easily incited an incident. If a spectator is being totally obnoxious the best action is for someone to bring it to the attention of an official and that official then be obliged to take some action. Maybe the WAFL needs to give a mobile number you can text if someone is behaving like an idiot. To be honest though I don't think its a major problem in the WAFL given the small crowds. I reckon the most obscene language I have ever heard at Bassendean was during the 3 quarter time huddle when Greg Harding was fired up......

hahaha...yep, Peter German wasn't shy either and back in those days when there was no alignment sides he wasn't afraid to give it to the AFL guys playing for Subi that week.

See your point but it does worrry me a bit when a player comes out and admits that the crowd got to him, even though in this case it has had a obvious positive affect. Maybe a temperament issue that the AFL clubs have spotted as well? As I said before Bolton is a brilliant footballer who has a lot more ability than many on AFL lists

Nah we have to have it in the Clubhouse as well, part of licensing requirements.

There was posters with a mobile number to text if you were offended by any patrons behaviour in the Macca stand on Saturday. The Macca stand was unusually quiet on Saturday but a lot of the usual suspects were missing
