For the sharks to survive they need to relocate to a community oval within their junior area, exactly what Perth should do when west coast take over. Build new facilities in the heart of your junior zones, get the local kids back supporting their local state team like what happened in the past. Easier for parents to get the kids there to watch
East Freo missed the boat when the Sunday league fell over, Willetton would have been a great spot and freed up a lot of cash. Perth should have moved to Tom Bateman in Thornlie before the baseball took up the option.

EF talked about that back in the 80s - the Willeton move never happened, I think that ship has sailed, Im not totally convinced it would of worked, look at WP up at Joondalup...attendances are not that great and its not a popular a venue for away supporters. Have they had hordes of locals flocking there each week...nup.

Is it a national state league problem or just WA?

I guess its not just WA, but we seem to have trouble making things work, we seem to everything backwards while the SANFL rationalised clubs we expanded. Its really what green bottle will fall first and its EF that seem to be the prone.

The bottom line is the WAFL cannot survive in its current form for ever.

I'm positive there were plans in the works for a similar redevelopment like Claremont has had. But the residents near the ground rallied and torpedoed it. It's not like the club hasn't been trying to work its way out of their current situation

I am glad that the EFFC has responded but what they have put out is everything we already know or have known for quite some time.

The redevelopment plan for Moss St is the same as Richmond Raceway and look what happened there, the council needs developments but not of dead ground. The Freo oval should have been done and dusted by know but has repeatedly stalled.

Making a statement that the club is a non for profit organisation is like saying it is a charity and unless you are making a profit you will fade away. You need a profit to be viable from one season to the next in order to compete and you aren't!

Yep your development programme is/was up there with the best and that was due largely to the work put in but also have a talent rich zone to draw on both in the metro and country areas. The perennial question is where are the players you developed that aren't drafted, did their development prowess translate into WAFL league or did they just vanish like so many players do in other clubs, with the exception of SD and EP (currently).

The ground is sub standard, perhaps not the playing surface but your rooms and the visitors rooms are well and truly past it.

The media accommodation is apparently not good enough! On sunday they had to re-glaze the windows in the coaches boxes due to vandalism which from one supporter is not uncommon, not the clubs issue but surely the council should be doing something to prevent it.

One of the consistent rumours, hearsay things is that the council is clearly not interested in fixing anything up or maintaining the facilities to get you to leave.

Yep you like most clubs rely on your volunteers, the past players canteen is brilliant and I gladly go and get my coffee and sometimes a bacon and egg sanga for morning tea, mmm no wonder I am a fat bastard.

As I said elsewhere if anything happens to EF the loss of your club and your Legends will be a travesty but you need to help yourselves if you expect others to help you and frankly I see little evidence of the self help and the press release does little to allay my fears or opinion.

When he came back from NM he was a quite slim and muscular footballer, he is quite over play weight or looked it on sunday in the ressies!
