Jonny Claesson, Paul Bennett, Robbie Hooker and a fella from the NT in Ninny Briston were some of my favourite EF boys over the years......all were consistently in the best playing reserves footy just never seem to get the nod to play league.

Hey Freez...I played footy with Paul Bennett at CBC in the 80's....a good bloke and a pretty darn good footy player as well. The Cronin's ...Steve and Rod were there as well and from memory Rod played a couple of league games for EF after finishing with CBC but unfortunately has since passed away.

BC, is it true you could only get a game with CBC if you were a left-footer?

GC -- It would have been iterestting to see how Avery would have gone in WP's 82 side, when the side was in good form. Foley had potential, but did not quite go on with it. I thought Commetti and Wynne did pretty good jobs given their side's they had around the mid 1980s.?

WP played a number of blokes at Full Forward in the 1980s for limited success the likes of Avery, Comerford, Davis, Bradmore (more CHF), O’Neill, Taylor, Fitzsimmons, Stasinowsky, Adamson, Wilson, McEvoy, Stephens, Foley, Lockman, Mugavin were just a few off the top of my head...

Forgotten about Stazza, a crowd favourite and did provide us with some magic up forward and one of our more consistent goal kickers. Was only a young bloke of about 10 when he left, and was devastated. Went to high school with his younger sister, in year 12 when he passed away.

I vaguely remember him Singha a blonde wingman from memory?
He played 18 games-5 goals from 1977-1980 for the Mighty Black & Whites.

He was a wingman mate, but had short dark hair. I got to enjoy a couple of swans social events through him. I recall a cracker at the Perth Cup where swans had a tent. It seemed funny for me as a mere footy fan to be hanging with these Swans players that to me were legends really, even though I followed another club. Many frothies were consumed.
