Well no surprise really given it all goes back to the Dawson decision in the 2nd semi where the tribunal totally compromised it's integrity by letting him off which meant they had to let the Subi boys off, then again in the prelim letting Halligan off and now letting Sutcliffe off, so it's all according to established form. Mind you most of the previous ones were in and around the play but Sutcliffes was a complete dog act 50m off the play when the player wasn't looking and wouldn't have expected any contact.

Another example - Barry the Thug just (reportedly) given a week after whacking a guy twice in the Q(Queensland)AFL GF.

What an absolute disgrace that an elbow to the face 50m off the ball is only worth a reprimand and yet Riggio received a 3>2 week suspension for a tackle he actually received a free kick for!
The SDFC should be demanding compensation for that ridiculous suspension considering what has gone on (or should I say got off) over the 4 weeks of the Finals!

True Grassy, back to the Sylvia debacle but this years finals has seen the tribunals integrity totally disintegrate, they've sunk to a new low which is saying something. Would love to see something from JT about the tribunal as a follow up to the player qualification article and also some coverage of the almost universal condemnation of the alignments and the finals qual debacle on the WAFC's own facebook page. Surely someone is listening up in the WAFC ivory tower!! ........... or am I just kidding myself?

BH your spot on, it really brings into focus the all encompassing influence that the AFL monsters have over the WAFC and their puppet CEO ... plus the board puppets/muppets. FMD I love the game, my club and the comp but this is really a testing time for us true WAFL believers. So many comments on the WAFC FB about people now turning their back on the comp as they consider it a joke after whats happened in this and last years finals.

DW whether DS's technique was poor or not is a moot point. The fact is that TC instigated the contact to the head and as such it is his responsibility, under the current interpretation, to ensure that there was no head high contact. Because of his actions he should have at least received a fine and thus been ruled out of the GF.
