Yes the meeting took place. Have been very keen to hear details of said meeting, but the media have ignored it. I've certainly not heard any news about the meeting. The legend players have probably been told to shut up and not say anything.

He is not the sort of guy to get drawn into a slanging match with a bloke that is barely able to string a sentence together. Not that Jako doesn't reflect the view of many of us, but it's a long lonely walk to the back of Jacko's head. At least he has the bottle to stand up and have an opinion I suppose. Turner inherited a basket case.

Hate to tell you but Jako strung quite a few words together to the betterment of Turner, if Turner is a top operator he certainly didnt disply it in that interview, infact he came across as inarticulate and incapable of addressing the issues.

"Yes the history books will write it in as East Perth, but its not the same" Great to hear from an EP legend..it is so obvious to everyone that it stinks! Even there own dont like it, no wonder EP crowds are down a whopping 19% from last year, the biggest drop of any club massively

The unfortunate thing about this whole debacle SwanDog is that it wont only be EP who will having a crowd drop off next year it will be the same for all clubs and maybe more.
Memberships will drop off as people just talk with their feet because of the alignment and not become members.
Crowds down
Memberships down
Sponsership down

WAFL DOWN...

But that is ok the WAFC will come out with some Political spin and create other reasons for the above..

Yep, an EP win this year will be a death blow to the comp next year, Im afraid the drop in attendances are just the begining of an abject collapse, memberships I understand struggled this year, expect a drop come 2015, just as renewals come up after the EP win, people will consider the outcomes and decide not to bother.

As for Sponsors, gee if theres no TV Coverage, declining Radio and a forgone conclusion for the flag, if you were a company would you bother ploughing in another $5000 for a year?

I will reiterate Baz, they must urgently allow WCE to have their own stand alone side like Adelaide in the SANFL. Not ideal I know, however this EP alignment model is the death of the whole competition.

Peel can have Freo, in fact they should take over that whole useless club. They will always be a basket case anyway. Something needs to be done now. The damage will be unfixable if it isn't already.

It allows the traditional clubs to retain their identity, no byes, and given the commercial stations love any AFL attention, having West Coast & Fremantle by name involved, the networks will be more inclined to broadcast. Allowing continued TV coverage to the WAFL, which is not just crucial but essential. If this is not done now we are gone.

and then we can all get on with life & start talking up the WAFL again as a great suburban competition. Who knows we may get 30,000 to a grand final again, instead of the barely 8,000 they may get on Sunday. It will be the smallest crowd for a GF I am sure, but you can bet the crowd figure will come up double what it actually really is. There will be so many empty seats there, it will be a image disaster for the WAFL.

We are run by total inept idiots who would be best suited managing a few ice-cream vans.

Dean was a general manager at CUB for ten years I don't think you can question his abilities. I think trying to argue with Jacko is like pitching donuts on a shit heap.

if Turner was any good he wouldnt be running a WAFL club, he would still be employed at CUB.

People change career for various reasons particularly in the corporate world. I think you will find it was his decision but I don't think he needs me to fight his battles. Mark Olsen you are without a doubt a very shallow thinker and still a chance to drown.
