if you dont think it will make a difference why do we have a salary cap at all ?

if East Perth were about developing talent they would have a limit on the amount of AFL players playing each week, they dont care they just want to win a flag..

He told me that we will NOT be breaching our salary cap in 2014. I certainly hope that this puts a stop to suggestions that Swans will breach the 2014 salary cap.

touch wood your boy hasn't misconstrued your meaning of where and when in 2014....right now to this point in time in 2014?....or at the end of 2014 once the necessary fiddling and fondling has been done!

To Freezin, Astro et al perhaps I can put it so there is no ambiguity, no equivocation and no uncertainty Swans WILL NOT breach the 2014 WAFL salary cap.

yeah by the end of the season perhaps 42.....what's the projectional status right now mate?

Larry hopefully there will be a bit more equality in the drafting then mate....some clubs like EF & Cl lose shit loads to the draft every year, whilst other clubs like EP get fark all drafted.....I'd rather keep my good players and have them play for EF instead of the draft 35K, which is sweet fark all TBH....especially if the player ends up playing in the AFL for 5 plus seasons.....be better if they got delisted like Brendan Lee and come back the following year.....35K for doing sweet FA!!

Freezin one of the easier questions to answer: at this point in time we are under the salary cap. If we were over the salary cap and were going to be under the salary cap at the end of the season, as stated, it would mean the Swans' players would be paying Swan Districts not the other way around.

We have a salary cap to equalise the competition. And the money from the AFL clubs is the source of it. The whole system is ironic when you think about it. The WAFL has been rigged for years only now it's really rigged people are squealing. Who said EP's number one goal is to find talent even though they have worked hard at it. They where virtually finished recently 24 hours from closing the doors if not for another massive bail out. Can I point out the AFL clubs put forward a better proposal.

East Perth with respect to a league team exists in name only.

In the way that you have no clue.

For the last time, if you don't get it this time you are beyond help. Swans are over the cap year to date. They haven't broken any rules yet but are about 20% over where they should be. So Swans are 60% through the season but have used 72% of their salary cap.

So for the last 40% of the season they can only use 28% of the cap so they have to cut spending. Players dont have to pay the club to play.
