It'll be interesting... WAFC will probably fine the clubs though.

I've followed Old Easts/Sharks for over 50 years and the Eagles since day 1. This alignment crap will change the way I follow footy. I will not renew my Eagles mambership and most likely will not support them. If I did so, it will help support the Judas of the WAFL in EP. And you know what pisses me to the point of hurt? EP will win flags galore without earning them and the Eagles won't give a rats arse about old blokes like me coz they've got a lot of kid supporters that don't care about WAFL. Anyone know how the Pirates Rugby Club is developing?

If it goes that far and they do that, the best thing you can do to get back at them is to not only give West Coast the flick but to pick a popular rival AFL club and support them instead and influence others to do the same. I recall Gerad Neesham going off his head one day about the amount of support that Essendon have in WA for example. I would suggest if you want to burn them on the way out, that is one way of getting back at them.

I have thought about that. I have always been an extremely loyal person and I support for life, so I don't know what I am going to do till it happens. I also hate for life and I hate EP

As much as I have EPFC at the bottom of my favourites list the games we play against them are brilliant and great for the WAFL..If they were stacked with AFL players that concept would change!!
I know for a fact a lot of EPFC supporters are very very loyal supporters of their club but seeing this Host club business start could put them off. Why because like all clubs they want to see their club win their games on merit and from the players they have bought through from the Juniors.
If WPFC became a Host club for any AFL club they would lose me as a member as it does not give the up comming players in our zone a chance to get a place in the league and in the end they would most probably leave the club. Bottom line it is just not Cricket..

Yes. That is understandable.
Feeling a bit the same way myself! Have always enjoyed the Wafl and followed one of the clubs since primary school, which is a long time ago. It's unfortunate I would find it extremely difficult to turn around and simply follow and support another WAFL team. It is a sad fact and would turn my back on the competition if the alignment were to proceed. The Wafl seems to have picked itself up over the last several seasons and would hate to see it take a dive.

Sadly, I just heard the host club deal announced on the radio news.
5 year deal beginning in 2014, player movements to begin next year.
