I am not sure those numbers are correct on the WA players (1993-2023) with 100 AFL games played, I only looked at the Swans players which posted 12 and yet I counted 17 below-

1. Craig Callaghan- 124 games
2. Adam Hunter- 151 games
3. Andrew Embley- 250 games
4. Dennis Armfield- 145 games
5. Lewis Jetta- 202 games
6. Jeff Garlett- 185 games
7. Alex Rance- 200 games
8. Neville Jetta- 159 games
9. Nic Naitanui- 213 games
10. Clancee Pearce- 100 games
11. Chris Yarran- 119 games
12. Michael Walters- 222 games
13. Rory Lobb- 160 games
14. Nathan Broad- 126 games
15. Stephen Coniglio- 202 games
16. Charlie Cameron- 202 games
17. Ethan Hughes- 101 games

*Sam Taylor on 93 games currently, Scott Cummings drafted in 1992 but didnt play in the AFL until 1994 (128 games).

so that means South Fremantle are 3rd on the list considering we gave up all areas south to Bunbury when Mandurah were created - all those players would have been in our zones
you talk about what's been lost or not got go and have a look at how we've been affected by that alignment
So in other words you grossly underachieved before Peel came in. You should have been dominating like $ubi in the past 20 odd years.

I'm sure someone from Codes Sports is watching BH. MD perhaps?

Go back 10 more years and include the likes of Matera, Worsfold, Jakovich x 2, Hart, Bairstow, Winmar, Dorotich, Sumich, Watters and all the rest then we probably top the table quite easily. Just saying.

I guess Dogman you could be onto something there..... if SF were the only club in WA providing the VFL/AFL comp with players back in the  80's & before 93 .....but they weren't mate.

Can think of a few EF and Cl players who were playing in the VFL/ AFL....Krakouers x 2, Hunter, Malaxos,  LesterSmith, Judge, Buhagiar, Sewell, Purser, Brennan, Mainwaring, Wilson, Waterman, Harding, Bennett and probably a few others who more than held their own back in the day....

But kudos to you Doggie, for plugging the SF cause mate....

Actually even the total number of players drafted from Swans in that period (1993-2023) posted is incorrect.
I have 62 players taken in that time period from Swans, 19 more than the 43 Codesport have listed for Swans!
FYI, I have only looked at the Swans players, I have no doubt the other WAFL clubs figures will be wrong as well!

Yep spot on BH....went to the EF year book from 2022, where there is a designated page listing EF players who have been "drafted" since 1987 into the VFL/AFL and it comes to 125.....since 1993 it's 108.....though Strnadica and Joyce have been drafted twice and Dixon is on there when he went to WCE last year from EF....so that's down to 105....of which, 16 didn't play a single game for their VFL/AFL side.

I reckon Cl numbers would be over 100 as well.....and with Dogman's abacus prowess, no doubt SF numbers too.

Freeze was looking on You Tube and found the 1979,Wafl GF.
Great game of footy for 3 and a half qtrs
Old East running away in the last 15 minutes .
Really physical first half.Peake,Budgie and a few other East Freo players .Going down a number of times.Reeves taking out the wrong player not Peake.
From that team Taylor,Budgie,Purser,Sewell,Peake,Judge,Leinster Smith.East Freo must of been the first Wafl club raided by the VFL.
I thought Budgie was BOG,Simpson..33 kicks, 3 goals and a dozen tackles.
Other good players Kevin Taylor ,leading goal kicker kicker in 79.Merv Carrot.Len Thompson.Doug Green. The lengendary Mario Turco was solid.Green another solid player.
Very high standard game of footy.
