...And why is a 'consulting group' being employed to look into the Wafl? No doubt they would be commanding a substantial fee! I would have thought with a supposedly tight budget where many other things apparently cannot be afforded, that would be one of the last things the Wafl needed.
One would think that looking into the wafl is the commission's job, isn't it? What the hell are they there for?
As the commission said, "We've been doing bits and pieces here and there". Sounds like old hq is completely out of it's depth. Sounds like serious questions need answering.

I wonder with WCER now played all 9 clubs, they will pull out of the comp till next year....or even for good. Every club has been given a chance to fill their boots....now let's move them on for 2023. Spread the ES players out in reverse order and let the locals go back to their local. Hopefully that may rejuvenate the declining WAFL ....not sure how, but time WCER were shown the door....a blight on the comp TBH.

Boston Consulting Group did a big review of the WAFL back in 2017 and that doesn't appear to have made much difference so not holding out too many hopes these days.

You seem like a very sensible young man Freekzin with this analysis. Everyone has now had a lick of the ice cream. Time to administer last rites or the mercy rule, which ever comes first. But you are forgetting about the "N" words - Nothing to see here Nisbett.

Boston Consulting Group should be renamed the Boston Insulting Group. Were they not the outfit who forecast 5000 punters at every West Coast Reserves game? As credible as their bedfellows Price Waterlogged Croupiers.

Time WA football to go back to being controlled by the Clubs.
If we have to have a commission all clubs should be represented.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Yeah I think we’re at that moment now to go back to club control and junk the WAFC.

I’d go further and de-affiliate from the AFL like the Picola District Football League in Vic has. Sell the licences for $200m and go our own way.

unfortunately Demetriou put just about every state in debt for new or upgraded Ovals and it's a proven guess there will be Victorian fine print in contracts
Even Rugby League has a far better feeder system , one that is set up to bolster it with state leagues vital to it
The AFL is deliberately waiting for total collapse it can then do what it wishes

other thing to add is that if anyone thinks Roberts , Martin & company will just give up their easy ride - well they would also have to believe that Swine are born with leathery wings
Roberts will go down into history as the CEO who told WA footy he has umpires who cannot bounce the ball because it hurts and they can't make decisions therefore football's unique tradition is gone , some of the greatest ever ruckmen have come from this state and the ones who are still alive condemn this rule
On another matter - this current VFL regime is overseeing and supporting the biggest injury list in the history of this game - never has there been such numbers of injured players and now each season sees the numbers grow further and their introverted self centred way is to just invent another draft so they can just keep taking , and taking , and taking
A once very attractive game totally up-ended , it is very hard to watch generally thanks to Victoria
If you remember they used to cheat in State games , picking interstaters to play for them because they simply would not lose with any respect or grace
