2014
Qualifying rounds finished last week with Boddington falling from grace in a big way from Grand Finalists to Wooden Spoon, but in saying that only about 3 players remained from last years team with a massive exodus due to the Club needing to clear some debts. The team tried hard all year but were simply outclassed. Brookton/Pingelly finished down the table but were reasonably competitive, but there bottom five or six players struggle at League level. Katanning produced a very young side who showed patches of form throughout the year and Wickepin were not far away from finals action, but struggle to fill holes in the side when injuries come into play.
Finals have started with First Semi at Pingelly yesterday between Kukerin/Dumbleyung and Wagin, with KD starting marginal favourites on two fast start wins over Wagin. The boot was on the other foot yesterday with Wagin out of the blocks and a nice lead at quarter time, and though Kukerin/Dumbleyung got with 8 points they could never bridge the gap.
