cheers mate
What is the amateur rule about a club that has 4 teams in the amateurs plus 1 in another association (mfl) can the amateur club move players between associations? even though the players have played on a saturday..i thought if players played in a lower grade only a few could go up and play higher next week.
no big deal,,,just interested in the rules/by laws

Good question and the by-laws have about 3 pages on this subject alone.

No they cannot unless the 2 leagues are affiliated is the basis of it all and then you can only play in one league each weekend and to play finals must play 5 games etc etc.

Affiliated leagues are listed as WAAFL, WAFL, WAMASTERS, WAWFL, WAFC/DFDC, WACFL

If MFL is under one of these leagues then it’s dual registration and can only play in one league or the other each weekend.

I’m not sure if MFL and WAAFL are affiliated which means transfers only and cut off June 30 rule applies.

Do you know if they are affiliated RD?

Robberdog if you are referring to Gosnells i believe you will find they have permission from the WAAFL to have players play in both their E3 side and the MFL comp. it is the same for Wanneroo who have the same agreement

Have heard through the grapevine the WAAFL is looking into 1 of the teams from the weekend in regards to unqualified player playing.

WAAFL website has Forrestfield v ECU at Hartfield Park for this week's game. Looks to be in order because you'd expect the League to have something announced by now.
