Here we go not long till Round 1. Lets make 2013 a good seasons for all. I'll be doing write ups like this most weeks. Before and after the weekends games.

Coolbinia West Perth v Onion Ridge

CWP didn't have a bad season last year but I'm sure they will be looking to improve and at least make the finals this season. Onion Ridge will look to go further this season after finishing 4th last season so I think they will make a good start.
Onion Ridge by 4 goals

Lynwood v Kingsley
Lynwood coming up to C1 this season after a succesful last season not to sure on how they will go,
Kingsley, you only have to see the clearances and see that alot of players have jumped ship after not winning a game in B grade last season.
Lynwood will prevail by 5 goals

Kingsway v Gosnells
Kingsway have had a change of coach to lead them to success. Kingsley Hunter, the man with more clubs that Greg Norman, has bought a number of recruits to the Teal Roos can they finally take that step up to finals.
With rumours of AFL players joining Gonsells will too much focus be taken off the players who lead them to success last season. I'm sure they will suprise a few teams this season.
Kingsway by 2 goals on there cow paddock.

Thornlie v Kelmscott
Thornley have had a dissapointing last few years, can they bounce back to the team from a few years ago, or will this again be a year of trying to avoid relegation.
Kelmscott have been relegated as punishment due to payment of players. I think they will be a bit too good for the lesser teams of C1 and maybe a bit to good for the top teams.
Kelmscott by 6+goals

Wanneroo v Melville
Wanneroo were hot and cold last season. When they played well they won by 10+goals even beating Melville and High Wycombe by that margin. When they didn't play well they copped hidings. First game of the season in front a big crowd which should help.
Melville were close last season, can they make it back to B grade this season. I'm thinking it will be a close game here.
Wanneroo by 6points

Coolbinia vs Ocean Ridge
I think Ridge will only improve on last year and will be one of the teams battiling in the top 4. Cooly will be hard to beat at home, but think the Ridge boys will do it.
Ridge.
Lynwood vs Kingsley
Kingsley with a big number walking out and Lynwood coming up and wanting to make a good start in C!
At home Lynwood
Kingsway vs Gosnells
Kingsway new coach and Gosnells coming up wanting to prove themselves competitors, and apparent signings of some star players, but we will wait and see what comes from any reports after round 1 to see who is actually there. I think this will be a pretty close game, but at home will have to go Kingsway
Thornlie vs Kelmscott
Thornlie bottom of those who remain from last year, and Kelmscott only coming down due to a penalty, I think Kelmscott will get the job done pretty easily.
Kelmscott
Wanneroo vs Melville
hot and cold from Wanneroo last year, Melville didn't finish as strong as expected. however new year, and I think the longest trip north in the league for Melville first up will have them in a spin. Wanneroo

Onion Ridge
Lynwood
Kingsway
Kelmscott
Wanneroo

Will be good to see the write ups after this weeks games, see if any of the offseason rumours are true and also see how each team has travelled into the season proper.

Always tought to pick round 1, and they all look like being solid games which probably could go either way.

CWP v Onion Ridge
rekon this one will be a cracker at yokine, will be interesting to see if cooly can lift the caton curse and defeat ocean ridge for the first time since the 2011 gf. ridge however have good runners and strong side all over the ground, they have a relatively young side that will go from strength to strength this season. cant tip against the home team though.
CWP

Lynwood v kingsley
another interesting game that will give the rest of the comp early indications about the intentions of both these sides. every club has a point to prove in round 1 but both these teams (promted and relegated) especially have big points to prove to themselves, the comp and their saturday oppositions. kingsley had a howler of a year last year and i dont think that 2013 is going to start well for them.
Lynwood

Kingsway v Gosnells
kingsway have always started well and at home with a new coach to gosnells they should do as they have always done. Gosnells will want to give them a big fight after winning c2 but i cant see kingsway losing

Kelmscott v Thornlie
Thornlie were towards the bottom of c1 last year and i think they will have a tough time against a penalised kelmscott.
Kelmscott

Wanneroo v Melville - GOTR
melville were april premiers last year and were given a pretty hard reality check in september 2012, they are a strong, disiplined, big bodied side and they would be still smarting from last year. wanneroo were the dark horse of the comp last year but failed to take their late season form into the finals last year. This game will be a high quality affair but i think that melville will restore the status quo and sound a loud shot to the rest of the comp with a round 1 win over quality opposition.
