Last week the Bulldogs were too strong for the Swans and Secret Harbour used their paddock and the howling breeze to get over the in form Southern River.

In the Ressies the 4ths teams look to have flexed their muscles and shown their depth, both getting wins over the Swans and Dockers on the enemies home grounds.

Forecast for Saturday is Mostly Sunny, Minimum of 9C, Maximum of 20C with negligible winds. Looks like a good day for the football teams with genuine skill! Brown Park will hopefully dry up and be in decent condition to play. Hopefully Mad Dog can give us a little sneak peak of how the ground is holding up after training tonight.

League: Swan View vs Secret Harbour

Well Secrets haven’t taste success against The View, and are still yet to beat any of the finalists away from home. The last two weeks they have had their Colts and Ressies boys drop out of finals contention, is it now their league’s turn? Swan View’s ego would have been battered after the 5 goal loss at home and would have been jumping out of their skins since Sunday to make amends. Making amends means 1. Winning at home, and 2. Beating Brentwood. Do the 1st means they get a chance next week to do the 2nd, fail the 1st and they’ll have to wait at least a couple of years to match up on Brentwood again.

Swan View have been the top team all year and I can’t tip against them. Swan View to get up and Secrets to spend at least another year in C4.

Reserves: Swan View vs Wembley

Wembley jumped into the finals series bolstered by their 3rds, colts and now their 2nds bowed out last week after straight set losses. Surely there will be a couple of young colts that usually play in their twos that would add even more depth to the 4ths team. Wembley will have choices, whereas Swan View’s resources are stretched between the three teams. Although Swan’s secret weapon could be a couple of their District colts, depending on if they qualified for the WAAFL finals.

I don’t think there’s a clear favourite here, and as most preliminary’s in history it can go either way. I’ll tip Wembley to get up by 5 points, due to the depth they should have, and Swan View will be focused more on the Colts and League.

Colts: Swan View vs Bassendean.

It’s the Swans vs the Swans, so I might tip the Swans! I don’t know much about Basso, but I think I remember them being the colts team to beat last year. A quick look at the ladders, they just snuck into the 5 but have won the last two games to slip in to the prelim. Will probably be the underdogs and Swan View would be dirty about letting Canning Vale get over them last week. Basso’s league being out of contention could free up some young Black & White Swans that also qualified for another game. Don’t know if they have any District Colts qualified for WAAFL Colts either. Since it’s 1st vs 5th, and I don’t know much else, Swan View will win this at home by a couple of goals.

looking forward to having a couple beers in the sunshine this week, watching two very good league sides go head to head. Clear weather will favour secrets i think, but we all know secrets are no good when out of Rhonda's arms.

Swan view will be regretful they were second to the ball last week, and i think secrets could be in for a hard day, although secrets have some very good outside players and if the veiw all go in for the ball and it slips out the back secrets could be away.

Either way there will not be much in this with so much at stake. Hopefully swan view can get the job done as they have been the stand out team all year and I would love to see history repeat itself 20 years on!!

Unlike some others who have gone missing since their side had been eliminated, I will continue with my thoughtstill the end and probably venture into C3 tipping next year.

This week iI'm going to rip upsets as the results have no effect on me whatsoever. With that being said I'll tip Sevret Harbour in an upset and Wembley in the ressies. Haven't followed the LKC this year so I can't comment much, but I'll pick The View in any case. Enjoy the beers boys.

The only time an unqualified colt can play in a final is when it's in their clubs highest team. Example wembleys b league side. And I highly doubt they have any B grade reserves that have qualified to play C4 reserves

Thanks for the update touched, you are a wealth of knowledge, the bubble is burst and the harsh reality is realised   . Assumed the loop hole was Colts are the lowest grade and I'd you qualify for colts you qualify for all grades.

I will still keep my tips unchanged.
