Not sure what you are saying here, NO stretcher was in the playing field , none. Just an injured player that ran off but Mossie played extra time?????????

Maggies- was there someone from your club on the time keeper table set up
Near interchange? Did u guys have extra players on the ground? If not the other team loses their score dont they otherwise what stops teams doing this when they need to regain the momentum in the game.

I very much doubt that the ammos will do anything about this result. This will
Be placed in the too hard basket

No stretcher came on the field at all. The basso player walked off the ground with a trainer. final siren sounded 1 minute 27 seconds over. Captain of mossie called for head count in 3rd quarter, no extra players on the ground and no penalty given to basso for the time wasting for the head count. Mosman Park should hang their heads in shame, the certainly didn't earn their place in the preliminary final next week.

let's get a few things right.
MP captain didn't call a head count, they called that a player who was serving a yellow card and not permitted to be on field, to be penalised. the umpires at all times made a mess of the situation. they turned it into a head count, and they did not go to the time keeper to assess the status of a player that was knowingly (by his team and the timekeepers) not permitted to be on field. a blunder by Bassendean, extended by the umpires, and rewarded with a free kick to Bassendean. and the offending player, who was STILL not permitted on field, was left to resume on field because the umpires didn't follow up with the timekeeper.
the timekeeper did not hold off to allow Mosman Park to kick the winning score. such an accusation is excessively sour grapes.
the umpiring in the 4th was terrible. so much so that a Bassendean player that staged to waste time late in play was awarded a 50m penalty after throwing himself to the ground after being simply handed the ball on a free kick after he refused to pick it up. but he was only one of several players stalling. not milking the clock for a few seconds, but feigning hurt & losing the ball to milk extended amounts. To steal your term, the players resorting to these tactics should hang their heads in shame.
and a little less showboating and Bassendean would have won.
The umpires made more atrocious calls favouring Bassendean than Mossies, particularly in the 4th (funny how you overlooked all of those), but when all was said and done, it was a great game marred by poor decisions.

Regardless of the shocking umpiring for both sides , there is no excuse at all for going over the time by a minute plus!!! No excuse at all. The league should reverse the result to the team that really won the game fair and square, but they won't. Mossie in by default !

I wasn't there and cannot confirm either way, however, it seems it would be a very difficult thing to prove to the league Maggies (if they were even prepared to hear it)

Apparently the game was recorded, independent people to the club approached the President and gave names and contact details to offer their evidence. Nothing will probably happen because we are not an A grade side, but it should. If the team had lost fair and square then so be it, but when they didn't, then that is a mockery! The Mossie would of known that you don't add time on for an injured player, is that cheating? Yes probably especially when you know the rules. Sitting in the crowd and watching the game showed me just how good C2 football is, all players gave there all and the skill level was of a high standard.

What is the rule for a head count? Is the captain reported? Lost of score to that time period? Would love to know!
Also time on, if I read the finals bylaws correctly there is spose to be 25 mins per quarter with no time on!!!!!

Umpires can call time on if they feel excessive time will be lost. This can happen with an head count or stretcher. Believe it or not a stretcher is not time on until the umpire walks over and says hold the time please.

If the umpires did not direct the time keepers to hold time then the clock counts.

Also each club is required to provide a time keeper. They should be seated together for finals and then both clubs are responsible for the time. Blaming mossies when it's up to both teams isn't right.

I'm not blaming mossies for any blunder, the umps lost control massively! Viper, if both time keepers are to be seated together should the siren be operational from the time keepers position or a different spot?
