Dear Phil and other Maddington faithful,
You are no longer my friends. Unfortunately for you and your club I witnessed the incident in the colts game at Dalkeith Oval on the weekend. Interested to hear if anyone else on ozfooty saw it but this was my take from the couch on the forward flank.

Little Number one for Maddington was clear best on ground in the first quarter. He is an exceptional talent. He was then followed closely by one of Collegians colts best midfielders for the rest of the day and was subsequently quiet. I don't know if this led to his further actions or not but from what I saw, he has no excuse whatsoever.

What happened in the third qtr was simply sickening to the point where I made mrs sleeve and the short sleeve sit in the car. I'm introducing my son to football and I am so glad he didn't see the incident. A small scuffle broke out just metres from our seat including the usual jumper grabbing, wrestling etc. Number 1 ran 30 metres toward the scuffle, leapt in the air and hooked a collegians player who was standing on the periphery(not involved at all)of the scuffle.

Said player was unconscious for about 90 seconds, faced covered in blood. He spent two days in hospital under close supervision due to the swelling caused. Maddington crowd applauded this unedeucated little swine, coach patted him on the back, his mates thought he was a hero.

Number 1 will face consequences tomorrow evening at the tribunal. If the WAAFL doesn't find an appropriate punishment the little turd will face criminal cahrges. No doubt, going by their reaction, his club or coach won't do a thing.
So sad that such a talented young player has no elder figure/role model at his club that has the power to tell him to pull his head in. He'll probably end up in jail or dead and when that happens I hope Maddington understand that their scum club has played a big role.

Bloody terrible. Didn't see much of it in my time in ammos but was always ugly when you did.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Says a lot about the club if in fact his actions were celebrated by his team mates and coach etc. You can take Maddington out of the Sunday League but you can't take he Sunday league out of Maddington.

If the club was serious about stamping out this type of behavior, they should match the penalty handed down by the tribunal.

I'd be pressing assault charges regardless of the tribunal hearing if the poor kid who got king hit was an innocent party. Just because it happens on a footy field it shouldn't be treated any differently to a similar incident that could happen on the street.

Im surprised they were your 2nd team at one stage!

Maddington are the dirtiest club I have ever played against!!!

I KIND OF remember one game against them, I went upto my opponent, shook hands and he then proceeded to king hit me from behind! I believe he was Red Carded but got nothing else from the tribunal.

They are absolute scum! Piece of shit humans!

My feeling is the WAAFL wont do much as they usually don't, however in this case I think its the best thing as the shit will then get criminal charges against him.

ADVICE!

Video Tape all games versus Maddington for incidents like this!

My favourite part was the Collegians officials threatening to 'kill' a 17yo colts player after the incident.

Hero's.

What would be funny is if Maddo was sent to B Grade cos of their antics and North Freo would have to stay in B Grade as well cos they arent anywhere near the top 2

O.k. A couple of things to clear up here. Firstly I think video taping is a pretty good idea against Maddo. The only problem is most of the incidents happen behind the play and this would, unfortunately, be near impossible to pick up.
Secondly, the player was reported after the game for reasons which I will explain below, hence he was suiting up for ressies. (lucky our reserves didn't know about the incident).
Thirdly, nobody threatened to kill the 17 year old. We did, however, threaten to have the living crap beaten through him in a face to face battle. Without his peanut mates and supporters that ran to the scene he would piss his pants if he faced the bloke that he gutlessly hit.I do like how you have thrown it back onto Collegians Maddoownsju. Shut up, go back to your club, be a man and tell the youngsters to pull their heads in. You are in the wrong. You are part of a disfunctional club.

Onto the report. I think the WAAFL do an amazing job, helping us get the most out of our great game week in, week out. I do ,however, think a few changes can be made in regard to some games. The oldest umpire in the colts game on the weekend was about 15 years old. He is a great umpire, as were his younger colleagues, but lacked the presence an older umpire would've had in such a situation. In the A grade comp Maddington are the only troublesome team at this juncture so could we please give an older, more experienced group of umps this game. I understand they probably request not to but they need to.

On Saturday the field umps missed the incident. The 13 year old boundary ump saw it. I witnessed it and asked the umps afterwards if any of them witnessed it. his kid put his hand up and nervously said yes before I instructed him to fill out the appropriate report. The questions must be asked, 1) Would a more experienced boundary ump have sent him off for the day?, 2)would he then have been able to play reserves? 3) Would the report have been filed without question? 4) would the little shit be heavily punished if the umpire witness had the extra confidence of a man?

Finally, where is Demo when you need him.
