Alignment aside the media seem quiet excited about Peel making there first GF.Lets hope its a good build up during the week.Excluding East Perth both these sides have massive advantages over all the other teams in the competition. But lets just get a big crowd there and hope its a great game of footy.Which i think its going to be.

you're probably right bolter except for one small problem....17 of the 22 who played for Peel today weren't Peel players. if your mob were subject to the same points system as traditional WAFL clubs then your playing personnel would have been completely different....go figure.

The alignment is what it is and I can guarantee you that every player playing for Peel has their heart firmly at the club and are rapt to be representing Peel regardless of were they come from and the clubs supporters are over the moon about being in the GF. For what it is worth Manchester United played some games last season without 1 player from Manchester. Most NBA clubs are made up of players not from their city and noone bats an eyelid all the supporters and players just get behind the team and that is the feeling at the Thunder at the moment .

Grassy how many locals even play for Man City mate?.....not sure your point there.......how many Perth boys were in that Wildcats team that won the comp last year......bet you were behind them for that mate as a proud WA fan! ....same as you will be a proud Perth fan when Jones wins the Sandover tonight and as you were last year when Trops won his Sandover.......yet both arent local Perth products they just wear your clubs jumper.......ditto for Peels players.....move on fellla, your reasons lack consistency......jealousy is a curse grassy.....

Grassy I have lived in the UK and NZ mate and still supported/followed the WAFL with passion....question away mate  .......Grassy the WAFL has changed we are no longer living in the good ole days and they will never come back, same as the hair on my head or my six pack mate ;) .....stop living in the past!

anyway what is different between a Peel fan supporting guys who aren't locals wearing their clubs jumper and achieving success and you supporting Trops,Jones etc who aren't locals wearing a Perth jumper achieving success?...

yeah I get it, there are a shit loads of non locals wearing Peel colours, but to the success starved Peel fan, who have seen their team get hammered for the last 20 years and who have no WAFL longevity like you and I, I don't begrudge them their success one bit.....anyway that Subi v Peel GF hopefully will be a great contest and put some spotlight on to the WAFL comp with a quality close fought game.....if SF got in it or any other WAFL team v Subi the game would be dead and buried by half time.....Peel are the only club who can compete with Subi on the park......tho touch wood I do hope the alignment quota etc gets revised very closely before 2017.....I want all 9 teams pushing "equally" for a GF spot.....

Our media support is so far behind the SANFL it's sad. I saw the ABC news from Adelaide last night. They showed a good solid minute of highlights of the preliminary final. We got about 10 seconds of the final score on the screen.

but that's not the point bolter...the point is they're not Peel players...Peel didn't recruit them, pay their wages, provide on-going support on and off the field...Freo does and they only play for Peel because they have to...not because they want to like the playing personnel at traditional clubs. They don't aspire to be Peel league footballers...quite the opposite because if they're playing for Peel then they're not playing AFL which is their main aim...so how can you say they're Peel players?

I'm not confident. Our last game against Peel we played terrible, but ran over them in the last when their heads dropped. But will there heads drop in a GF? I've observed that the AFL conditioning means that we cant break the tackles like we normally can and we have to adjust to that. Subi can only win if the heart and passion of playing for a jumper gets them over the line. Dockers players are too big and too strong.
In my humble opinion of course. Either way, I'll be cheering hard and it would be nice if a few neutral WAFL fans came and supported
