I'm aware Kirsten is injured, but if he wasn't he wouldn't be playing under Ross. Darcy is a complete no brainier, he should not play another game of WAFL. He needs games at AFL level.

The biggest issue is starting to build for Freo and it's not the coach, all the paying overs for okay players is going to bite them in the ass, the Exodus of players that is going to happen at the end of the year because of salary cap pressure will be attributed to the shit coach.

Tugboat, that's what squeezed Neal out this year so you could be right. Some pretty ordinary footballers are getting paid good money to play at Peel

I'm also uncertain if players want to commit long term knowing next year could be a sideshow in Ross's last year and then there is uncertainty after that

I notice Josh Deluca named for Carlton this week. I hope he does well and gets a contract extension into next year. I still can't figure out why Freo delisted him as they could use his in and under grunt now with Neale gone and Fyfe injured...plus Freo are currently 12th for clearances overall and 13th for stoppage clearances. You've got to wonder about Freo's list management sometimes.

True, however it could be a bit like Tim Kelly.

He was not only under the noses of both the weagles and Fremantle but 15 other clubs who didn't pick him up before Geelong did.

Josh has been named in the best six in all games he played for the VFL side since he went there and deserves his chance. Freo have a history of poor recruiting and player development recently with Matt Deboer and Sam Menegola examples of players not valued by freo yet successfull at other clubs.

Whilst some of the abovementioned names didn't exactly scale Everest like heights upon leaving Fremantle, the point regarding Barlow could hardly be further from the truth - Fremantle rookie drafted him in 2010 at the age of 22-23 and he played for 7 seasons and 100 plus games, was delisted and picked up by the Gold Coast (probably a bit off being an elite AFL club) and played for 2 seasons for 10 plus games.

Sure Fremantle may have got some/many wrong but Barlow? Without Fremantle the guy may not have had an AFL career and they should be at least acknowledged for that and not bagged for letting him go and for him being successful at another AFL club.
Not sure what Barlow did at the Gold Coast to constitute AFL success but it must be a pretty low bar.

he needs to back at Subiaco. What are they doing, making him earn his spot? I thought this particular Victorian lot were supposed to be desperate?
