I'm more concerned for the ATO whistleblower who is facing 6 life sentences (160 years). What was it he blew the whistle over?
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Yep...that's a disgrace. He faces up to 161 years in jail for highlighting the ATO's abuse of power in collecting outstanding debts. Although he did secretly record conversations etc but even still...it's just about killed the poor bugger.

All that came about by some very unethical practices employed by the tax office on some small businesses and certain individuals.

You can't leak secret stuff lads, full stop . If you do, you resign or this happens;
In relation to Assange, Manning went to gaol for leaking, as he should have, given his actions; and, it seems, it will be close run thing in terms of whether the Australian follows him. If they get hold of him, I think the case will hinge on the degree to which Assange allegedly 'assisted' Manning in the hacking of the secret information.

Has anyone thought about why these latest raids occurred just after the election - for stories that were published 1 and 2 years ago respectively? :huh:

Yes, I had noticed that also. I suppose different people will read it differently but it was not missed on me.

In relation to Julian Assange, the yanks are gunning for him come hell or high water. When he is released from prison in 10 or 11 months time, that's when the case will become interesting. The yanks haven't put pressure on that womans Swedish lawyer for nothing. Whether Assange is guilty, not guilty, as innocent as I am or whatever has nothing to do with it. And sadly when the yanks get hold of him, Assange will become a dead duck.
