Lillee, Cuthbert, Strickland, Herb Elliott, Cable, Walker, Polly Farmer and Todd for mine...I'd also like to see Bunton Snr but probably doesn't meet the WA criterion which should be that the person spent the bulk of their life in WA....not necessarily born here but certainly raised in WA and considered a WA person.

I guess if the British born scientist Michelle Simmons gets to keep her "Australian" of the year gong BH, then no probs with Waikato boy Billy Walker keeping his Order of Australia gong.....quite ironic to think SDFC best ever footballer is a Kiwi...might pop up to Huntly now and see where Billy was born.....

Taylor-Smith's first major achievement was breaking the world four-mile record in 1983. Subsequently, she won the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim five times, breaking the world record in 1995 for swimming the 48 km distance in five hours, 45 minutes and 25 seconds.[2] She also won the Australian Marathon Swimming Championships three times, and seven consecutive FINA Marathon World Cups. She won a gold medal in the inaugural open water swimming event at the 1991 World Aquatics Championships in Perth, and a bronze at the 1994 Championships in Rome.[3]
