Returning to the OP. Yes an example needs to be set. I am not suggesting hang 'em high, but a fairy tap with a feather duster is laughable. Prison time and and the maximum fine would deter many. And the same person/s re-offending should have double prison time. Apparently over east, many of their current numbers are people from illegal gatherings and ignoring current rules. Sadly such people simply nopt realising their actions are just prolonging the current status.

Dickheads got 3 months in the can with 7 months suspended and denied a spent conviction. The Melbourne restaurant owner might lose his liquor license. Good riddance. Enjoy your Chrissy in a jail cell you dickheads.

The NT police also want them as well for falsifying drivers licences and other offences so their problems are not over once they are released from gaol in WA.

Not sure about that mike but hopefully they do face further charges there but part of the case in WA was their lies and fraudulent behaviour in NT.

Apparently have been summonsed to appear in a Darwin Court on November 16. Burbank will still be in WA in prison on that date so I assume he would appear via video conference. Not sure about the other guy.

Then the stupid plonker that escaped from hotel quarantine in Hobart. When apprehended by the police, he has been very unhelpful with investigators and the contracers. Consequently the southern half of Tasmania is now in a snap 3 day lockdown that started at 1800 this evening.

That idiot is refusing to give any details to the contract tracers, so he should be locked up until he provides that information with a big daily fine for every day he fails to comply. Unbelievable how selfish some people are. He may need protection if and when he gets released, there will be a lot of angry people down on the Apple isle.

Interesting to hear the reports that nearly 90% of the Vic and NSW new infections are in the non vaxed population, it really is becoming the virus of the unvaxed.
