Pretty sad to see no-one from either East Perth and Perth - that's just bullshit given some of the quality in there

i reckon Michael Sinclair and Brady Grey would have been certainties before getting injured on the weekend.
Lol absolute joke they way our club gets treated when it comes to state games. You can’t tell me we haven’t got 2 or 3 blokes that aren’t worthy of at least being in the squad even with all the injuries we’ve got. Mathew Taylor, Kasey Nicholas, Jacob Coniglio are all worthy and in form. After Langlands showing on the weekend but that form has probably arrived a bit late.

Other certainties would have been Masto, McInness and Josh Smith had they not been injured. Probably a blessing for us we won’t be represented risking injury, getting a chance to freshen up and avoid the risk of having to self isolate.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

It is absolutely mindboggling  mayhem that this is still being talked about as going ahead.
I see Coach Broadbridge has pulled the pin yesterday and to be honest I cant blame him with all the uncertainty around lockdowns, border closures, quarantining etc dropped on us at the last minute from the NSWman.
Just can the thing NOW and we will take them on over there in 2022 instead!

This is especially for your benefit BH.  It is a quote from the article on the WAFC site.  I don't think I need to provide any commentary other than to highlight part of the quote:

"The Kia Australia WAFL State game is a key event on the calendar each year in the lead up to the AFL Mid-Season Draft, with the 2019 fixture seeing five players selected including Simpson Medallist Josh Deluca, who was drafted to Carlton after a standout performance."

An absolute bloody disgrace.  Sure Deluca gets another chance but he plays a handful of games for Carlton, gets delisted and we never see him again at Subi.  Then Mayo gets taken by St K, does an ACL and never got a sniff of the big time.  Shove your mid-season draft up your proverbial and the WAFC should hang their heads in shame.  I thought we might see some improvement after Taylor got the flick but clearly there's been no change at all.

Spot on BC.
And it is this pathetic attitude by the WAFC that is the afl is the be all and end all that see's so many promising WAFL footballers and those that would be great long term WAFL servants give it away because they dont get drafted to the Vic League!
Mindless, brain dead stuff from the WAFC!

I wonder whether the apologists for the WAFC will try to defend this.

Yeah like you guys I would be totally pissed if my son, nephew, best mates kid got an opportunity to be drafted midseason after missing out in November to realise their dream of possibly playing elite footy......would be trying big time to persuade them to say thanks but no thanks....don't trust the WAFC or those greedy AFL clubs one iota.
