agree BH that against blokes of that size that Gault should be in the ruck and use Blakes up forward and 2nd ruck, it was pointless having Doc in there against Griffin all day.
the lack of physical attention to Boekhurst was similar to blokes not standing up to Subi the week before, Hampson gets worked over every week and apart from Riggs and Turner nobody wants to give it back.
no23 for East Freo spent the whole day bumping and elbowing blokes in the back and nobody gave it to him, good on Simpson for getting the bloke that had been doing similar to him.
needed to send one of the 80's boys out for 10 mins to sort a few out !..
a few hard men up there and some funny stories were told.
Butch Hemming dropping Stephen Michael and then copping a decent shot from Maurice Rioli was a funny story..
Fogarty and Solin were there, 2 very tough customers on the back flanks

Oh for a Jon Fogarty, Tony Solin, Stan Nowotny, Bill Skwirowski, Brad Shine type playing for us today there would have been none of the weak shite put up with that is for sure and certain!.
Yes was great to see the fellas there on Saturday, I loved hearing the stories from Butch and co.
Fogs told one of when he was just having a play fight on Stephen Green one day as the ball wasnt coming down the EF forward line too often that day and they were getting bored and just to show the bond and rapport all that group had for one another back then they came in to help Fogs out- Solin, Mullooly, Skwira etc to sort Green out even tho they were only mucking around.
Would that happen these days? if lately is any indication not a snowflakes chance in hell!

I was looking at the stats at half time and 10 of our players had 4 or less possessions and only 1 had more than 9. Those sort of stats would be average or less for 1 qtr.

that wouldnt surprise me, the lack of run and effort from certain blokes was hard to watch..
plenty of blokes want to play pretty footy.

Come back Adam Faulkner.
Although he butchered 30% of his average 30 possessions it still means that 21 possessions went right.
FFS we have blokes that can't get 20 possessions let alone making them good ones.

Just had a quick look at the stats for the season so far we are 9th for disposals and tackles and 8th for scoring with our leading goalkicker with just a pitiful 9 goals from 6 games.
Dreadful viewing to be honest.
I can remember back in 1981 Simon Beasley had 50 goals around this mark of the season but that was when football was exciting viewing not the rubbish of today!

And one of your new players who was allegedly promised League Football if he switched from another WAFL Club is averaging just 8.5 disposals in the two matches he has played.
Not really good enough when some of your regulars in the Reserves are averaging over 20 disposals.

Don't be surprised if there is dissention in the ranks.

I think said player is guaranteed a run in the league team One Time only. Howlett could get 20 disposals with his eyes shut at this level, not sure how he is being used? Interesting that Howlett, Clutterbuck and Payne the three slowest players at EP all end up at Swans. For me Swans have been an up tempo style of team.

I think Payne is a fantastic footballer. But don't like him on the wing for the reason of leg speed.
