WP have had their debts cleared and are paying not one cent to their creditors. Their supporters have not embraced change, happy to enjoy the best junior development zone in the WAFL but not prepared to adopt the Joondalup name to truly represent their feeder grounds. That leaves me with very little sympathy.

When all this shit came out late last season didn't the WAFC register the name Joondalup Falcons or something like that in case they fold they will immediately create a new club and a new administration?

Well you know what double D's, Percy Johnson is a true WAFL man and would like to see the 135 year old club survive, unlike some of you clowns who have agendas to sink this club because ?? fuk knows..
Just be careful what you wish for, no matter what happens there will be a club in the north because that's what is needed and what the WAFC want, they don't want soccer to take over like it is doing now.
Also it will never be the Joondalup Falcons, more like the Northan Falcons or a name that embraces the whole Northan corridor.
BTW congrats on Perth doing well, great to see, hopefully they can knock of $ubi and make this season interesting.

DD,

For arguments sake, lets say Perth were told to change their name for $70,000k per year, would you do it ?

Leedy I would say the sponsorship dollars would be worth a lot more than that if you adopt the name Joondalup Falcons. What price do you put on your survival? I think many more local sponsors would jump on board to support a club called the Joondalup Falcons. Just my opinion.
Get on your bike.

We won't get carried away, WP are bankrupt on and off the field and they are quickly heading for oblivion.
The swans supporters far out numbered the WP and if WP keep dishing up that rubbish their finances wont get any boost from people rocking up to watch.
Even in our darkest days our loyal base remained loyal.
Had a good look around the new West Perth premises and my only question is WHY. and why so grandiose.
Yes at Swans we would like better, but home is home and it is warm and comfortable.
Perhaps WP should have been grateful for what they had as a % from the takings off Venues West is better than zero.
Another consideration for WP is form a whole new club involving many of the sports that occupy the Arena,
Perhaps next year the WAFL team could be Joondalup Wolves.

That's a very good question trsm….I guess when it's mainly paid for by others and gifted to you then I suppose you could answer that by saying why not?

That's hilarious BC coming from a $ubi supporter who's club has been gifted money from the AFL system for about 30 years! your club has been gifted don't worry, very gifted..

Gifted by the AFL....how so?...we had a commercial arrangement selling AFL seat packages which were bought from the WAFC and utilising our social premises which we paid for ourselves....we weren't given anything, asked for handouts or stiffed local suppliers unlike your mob of parasites.

Those seat packages should of been available to all clubs not just your mob, and to rub salt into the wound the extra surplus money had been used over the years to poach quality players from other clubs .

Notice that Howlett got 21 possessions in his first reserves game for Swans. The selectors may be tempted to throw him in the mix against Subiaco this weekend as we probably need as many experienced mature players as possible to compete against Horsley, Kitchin and Co

FMD...it's like talking to a small child as this topic has been done to death......read my lips...THEY WERE OFFERED TO ALL CLUBS BUT ONLY SUBI COULD MAKE IT VIABLE DUE TO HAVING SOCIAL PREMISES AT THE OVAL....is that clear enough for you?

And I think that was only in 2 1/2 quarters, before going off with an injury. Very quick...

BC you conveniently left out the 7 figure compensation package you also received to stop playing at Subi Oval on top of keeping the bar and the seats deal but I agree its time to move on as this is the SD vs WP at Joondalup topic after all boys!
