I don't want to harp on about the Harding announcement but this has coincided with the teams rapid decline and I have to wonder if he could have just told the board rather than make the decision public. The facts are that Greg made the announcement on 13th July and the team has won just 1 game out of 6 since then, after winning 9 out of their first 14. The cue seems to have been put in the rack.

The huddles over the past few weeks have been very low in intensity and appeared to me to be an opportunity for players to socialise. The attitude is just all wrong. Team spirit seems to be non existent at the moment which was clear in the lack of emotion when we did score the occasional goal today. Contrast that with the EF celebrations when they scored, particularly Anthony Stephens goal in the last term. It looked like a premiership celebration. They have stuck firm with Wiley and this decision will reap them benefits next year.

There has to be and there will be some changes for the game next week. With respect to providing a spark we are badly missing Rogers. One player that should come into our league next week is Wityk and not at the expense of Noble.

I agree Swan42, he needs to be part of a forward line with a few options. Many times today I looked up and our forward 50 had 3 or 4 Sharks to 2 Swans players. Otherwise maybe a bit of youth like Mcguire or Daniels into the midfield, I thought Freddie looked very slow today and made too many errors. Sam Taylor showed a lot today I thought and was one of our few positives. Hope Ugles injury is not too serious. Not sure if Mcgillvary and Watson are up to it at this stage. Wonder if Jack Watson is a chance to come back in?

Mike & DW have already summed up the absolute complete ineptness that is the SDFC League team at the moment but unfortunately there is still another week left of that soft, unaccountable, unskillful, selfish, garbage that has been dished up for the last 6 weeks or so.
I will reiterate what I posted some time back is it actually pointless Harding continues to Coach as the players obviously have no respect or care for what he says it might just be worth him stepping aside now and we may narrowly avoid the biggest losing margin in WAFL history next week vs WP a team we havent beaten for nearly 3 years and that was at least with a side who's players actually cared!

As you say BH.Even when Swans are playing ok.West Perth allways seemed to have Swans quiet easily covered. At Basso I was on the Wafl app listening to the last couple of minutes on Internet radio.WP V CMT.There was 30 seconds left Cmt in attack.A WP player tackled a Cmt fwd around the neck. The ump was to scaired to pay free kick.Ball bounced siren rang. Two sides seasons came down to 1 decision in the dieing seconds of game.

GTR if you check the ladder even if Claremont had got a free kick and converted to win the game, it would have meant that East Perth would have sneaked into 5th spot on the basis of a slight % advantage so it turned out OK with a G7 team getting in.

AR Harding took over a Premiership side and he has not coached a win in a final in his 7 years as coach....and the status quo will continue next week!

The WP result was a fair won Mike. They have had a couple of good wins with a team that's been smashed .All season with injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't knock off Swans and Peel in the finals.

It's really funny that the Swans Colts and reserves have shown a heap of guts and determination today , the colts beat the top team to retain their double chance and the reserves have overcome some heart breaking close losses this year to battle their way into the finals. And yet the league team were so spineless. I just hope that every player that pulls on that Black and white guernsey next Sunday gives his absolute maximum whatever grade they are playing.

Mike what I would love to know is how we can turn talented promising kids like those in our Colts & Reserves into complete and utter inept League players...that takes some doing!
