Read today that Harding replayed some of their early season games to the players to try and show them what they were doing to get their first 4 wins. He identified a lack of energy over the past weeks that have let us down. I think Swans have really struggled for intensity since the belting from Subiaco in early May and this has been directly responsible for our dip in form. The energy levels were obviously much better last Saturday The next two weeks are a real opportunity for the boys to consolidate their spot in the top 5. Perth at Lathlain and East Fremantle at Bassendean are a chance for 2 wins and if they can do this, they will be 9 wins and well on their way to a finals appearance.

TBH mikeh if SD don't win both those games then you don't deserve to play finals...that EP win could be an 8 pointer for you guys....gonna be tight for 4th and 5th spots...great to see 4 teams in the mix....good for the comp it goes down to the wire....not good for those fans tickers tho......load up on the asprin fellas and take an AED with you......LOL

True Freezin, need to win these two to keep in front of the pack. Swans draw generally is fairly kind, we only play S and SF once more (both away though), we don't play WP and have Peel and Claremont at home as well as two games v the Sharks at Bassendean (not sure if there is much logic in these fixtures)
Swans need to make the most of their home games and pinch one or two of the away fixtures and we should be a part of the September action with any luck. May need 12 wins to make absolutely sure so that means 5 out of the next 8. 11 may be enough with a decent percentage.

Apparently a bit of wrestling at training during the week led to the Matt Rogers injury. My mail is he is no longer the strongest player at the club

Do you know if he is a chance for selection this week DW? He would be handy against his old club as he seems to consistently perform against them.

That is a massive blow BH. Rogers is an integral part of the forward line and he also is very vocal and gees up the players on the ground. Do you know anything about the prognosis for Ugle and Ames? Given that Tallan was a last minute withdrawal I would imagine his injury wouldn't have been too serious?
