Also credit to West Perth, they were deserved winners. Their midfield was on top of ours for all but the 3rd quarter. Young Keitel played a good game I thought.

It wont matter what direction we are headed in Grassy if we turn up with no intensity for the contest as was the case in all 3 grades yesterday best highlighted by the fact we laid only 40 tackles which was 11 less than WP who had about 40 possessions more than us.
Yes there was an improvement in the 2nd half by the League side but was too little too late.
The sooner those at the club all realise we are a blue collar football club that needs to roll up with the workboots & hard hat on for every contest over 4 QUARTERS rather than the suit & tie the better off we will be!

Was SD missing anyone in the colts and reserves bar the usual state reps?.....never ever seen your colts especially produce a score line like that.....looks like the colts and reserves were running around in work boots instead of footy boots BH....

I think the Claremont match this week will tell us a lot about where the team is going this season BH. They have now only won 1 out of their past 4 games and they need another 4 points to help fend off the strong challenges from the alignment teams who are both building. We don't have a great record at Tigerland so this will be a real challenge for the players. I wonder how far Crowley is from a return. We sure could use his experience in the forward line at the moment

I may have been a bit harsh on the Colts as we were missing a few to the 18s, PSA & injury and there was only a goal in it at 3/4 time but the last qtr was a shocker.
As for the Reserves considering the calibre of players we had on the park compared to other seasons where we have been putrid I would have to say that was one of the worst performances I have seen us put up in 38 years.
Luckily in football you get to redeem yourself in a weeks time or in this case 6 days!

I think the colts have had something like 8-9 debutants in the last 2 weeks.

had 5-6 that are still 16 on the weekend and think the depth of the squad is getting tested but good that opportunities are there for those in the squad..

Huntley who is in the 18's squad but didnt get a game played ressies..

Cheers MO & Danger you are both quite right we did have a lot of new faces in the Colts team over the last couple of weeks which is good to see we are giving so many boys from our zone/squad an opportunity to show their wares with the WA 18s & PSA boys all missing.
My attention may have been a touch distracted by the WP fan I was seated next to who was banging on about what was wrong with Swans Colts every time they (WP) kicked a goal in the last qtr!

I don't think he was being deliberately annoying Grassy from what he was telling me he thought we would do a number on them and was generally surprised with how easily WP were running over the top of us...we actually had a good conversation about his young bloke playing for WP they were from up my way.
