Love watching Blighty go about his work usually...things I didn't notice yesterday... Blighty go to Bolton, Crowley come off injured, how prolific Rogers was....in future I will be watching all games from around the interchange...just miss too much detail from the far side and behind the goals. Still a good day out but doesn't give one their weekly footy fix...heading back in your direction Perc!!!

You're right DW, there were a couple of obvious stand outs for best on ground and then you could have raffled the rest of the votes, it was such an even team performance. I did see a fair bit of Blight and Ellard and they both played great nullifying roles. The strength of our season so far is everyone playing a role and not relying too much on one or two individuals. They are cherry ripe for a red hot crack at Subiaco next week. Crowley will be a big loss but it gives Cipro or Ridley, Maguire, Slater and about 3 others who are pushing hard for an opportunity, a chance to show their wares.

Hats off to the Claremont coaching staff lead by Harris, Valentine etc who acknowledged the 250 game achievement of Tallan Ames. Claremont are in fine hands with quality men like them leading the club.

John Townsend was at Arena Joondalup yesterday,Bease.

As for Wilkes, still hasn't learnt anything after Mark Johnson turned him inside out in '08.You're not so tough you big teddy bear.

It wouldnt matter if Townsend was in Timbucktoo Grassy he "apparently" can see 100m off the ball incidents 6 days after the event...I wonder if he will report Wilkes off the ball shenanigans or just let them slide?!

How about Menangatang or Oodnadatta? :silly:

Widgiemooltha for a WA flavour mate. ;)
I didnt see Perc at the game yesterday which was disappointing with him being a former player as well.

A highlight for me yesterday occurred in I think the last qtr....On the outer Claremont were 2 on one with Riggio hot in pursuit...Claremont player stepped back to sheperd Riggs and Riggs literally sped up and freight trained straight through him...nothing untoward or illegal just a moment where Riggs said if you are going get in my way you are gonna pay for the privilege....Riggs gathered himself up and carried on whilst Claremont player was assisted off the ground...it's that kind of hardness that can make a season. Riggs in the votes for mine just for that effort alone...a brutal display of courage running in to direct fire

Don't know how many of you watched the colts game but what a terrific performance by our boys in the 2nd half. They steamrolled the Tiges in the second half...a terrific effort with 5 guys out playing back at PSA. Gregory Humphries game after half time was elite, he tore it to shreds. Reidy went back and started intercepting everything whilst Pescud and the classy Sam Taylor had solid games. Interesting to see Ellis give Taylor a solid spray at qtr time for playing too loose even though Sam had seen a lot of the ball. Good spot by the coach to remind his best player he was playing at CHB and had an opponent he was responsible for. Even the best kids need a bit of coaching. I thought the 2 rucks also did well considering the size of their opponent. They may not have had the best of the Tiges bloke in the hitouts who really knew how to ruck but around the ground they provided much more drive for their team in comparison...2 ways to skin a cat. #46 Italiano in his first game moves like an old Greg Williams but found himself 3 nice goals through being in the right spot and finishing well. Huntley was much better in the second half also as the team fired up in a very classy display of running link up footy...was a joy to watch some of the ball movement was elite. I really hope Atem Teng #34 can improve his disposal because his work rate as a forward is outstanding. if he can tidy up his disposal he will go a long way in footy as he looks like he still has a bit of growth to look forward to height wise. Great game by the colts and glad I went down to watch. From an opposition point of view #3 Patmore is a jet and going to be a star. Their ruckman #35 Bowe Roads is worth persisting with also. Looks a natural in the ruck and is a big lad, he just needs to grow the rat tails a little longer and realise he needs to do some damage around the ground.
....as for the Tiges fan behind me in the Billy Walker stand who stated "we are getting dicked" midway thru the last qtr when our run completely took over the match, I don't know how you lot do things up your way in petticoat land but we don't use that same terminology around our club...surely a Claremont thing

We certainly did turn it on in the 2nd half of the Colts mate. I was wondering where the likes of Hinder, Cameron, Wilson & co where yesterday but yes I had forgot the ol PSA has started back up with school holidays now finished and with the State 18s also about to crank up it will be a tough stretch coming up personnel wise but gives us a chance to promote some of our promising 16s boys from the last 2 seasons.

The young Garcia, think he was #54, will be one to keep an eye on...lightly framed with a doozy of a haircut but had a couple of moments yesterday. What I like most was at the start of the last when he went back and slotted comfortably from 50...he never looked like missing which is a kind of confidence you just can't buy

Yeah young Riley Garcia played a few Colts games last year as a 15yo. DW do you know if Grimson is back yet from his knee injury?
