No pretty sure what I said was in simple black n white language swandog......Nuich is a developing talent nothing more nothing less....not too sure his availability this season would of changed SD fortunes at all...but some folk think so...though they are a tad biased at times....and naive too

I find it absolutely amazing an Old Easts supporter living in NZ can have such an emphatic opinion on a player he would never ever have even seen play before!
The fact we lost our number 1 ruckman on the very first bounce of the season and have had our regular Full Forward in Cary missing for nearly half the season thus far seems to be lost on our sheepish friend over there!
Although he may not be a household name at the Freeze household (bar his intelligent young son that had the good sense to start supporting the Mighty Black & Whites instead of being a sheep and following his old mans mob ) he was going to play a big role for our club this season as our 2nd ruck and key forward after a strong apprenticeship over the last 3 years.
With Jake having to put football aside to receive treatment on top of our other talls going down at other times during the season Blakely, Cary, Ames, Simpson, Hodge et al & Houghton having a year in the country it has thrown our whole structure out and we have had to pinch hit whilst also blooding young Yukich as the lead ruckman who is learning on the job against some very experienced big bodies with a little support from Ansey another youngster learning the game at League level.
Anyways our learned friend from over the ditch will continue to take the opposite view to whatever those who watch first hand say so I guess at the end of the day this fella knows best!

BH....sheesh good vent mate....love the sheep comments as well....coming from the fella whose whole family are SD fans and you did something totally sheepesque like by becoming a SD fan yourself....awesome bro .....Ricky Cary has played 9 games out 12....and before Sat had kicked 11 goals from 8 games....hardly FFesque like mate?.and to top it off Cary was a last minute inclusion!!!.....Ames and Simpson have played 10 and 9 games from 12..and Simpson was even absent from that SD win over CL...so what's your point again?..yep understand Blakely being a loss...frustrating for sure....but you talk as those these boys have been missing for most of the year....obviously not true....why can't I point this out in a public discussion?......

mate if you and Swandog had your way, you would want everyone to believe, SD are the only WAFL club to have injury problems, umpire prejudice, most passionate fan base, best club facilities and development program for juniors.....it's so farkin biased it's beyond funny..... and that's why the likes of myself or a Bazza,or a TOSG or a BC are regular contributors here on the SD thread......you guys call it trolling, I call it balanced discussion.....

as for Jake...well am I wrong in saying he is a work in progress?...a developing talent?.....or is he the finished article ready to have the same impact like "missing" players in Simpson and Ames have on SD performances?......but hey.... that's the beauty of discussion....every story has two sides which each side having a need to be heard....seen or unseen ...don't take it so farkin personally BH.....I reckon your footy insight and knowledge is far greater than mine.....well post WCE anyway....

Was it your son joining the Black Duck Brethren and thus increasing the intelligence tenfold in the Freeze household in one fell swoop, the 1984 WAFL GF pantsing with 10 goals to zip on the board before you had even taken your first sip of beer or the most likely Andy Holmes tearing you a new one in front of the whole MLSHS cheersquad that has left you bleeding black & blue/white the most?

BH.... my son, like any youngster with little footy knowledge is a front runner...he most probably picked SD after they won the 2010 flag..same as he probably picked the Hawks after their 2013 win.....same as I picked EF after hearing how many flags they had won before winning another one in 74.....same as you announcing your love for the SDFC during their successful early 80's era......at least in my family I didn't join the flock of red and black....nor my son following me joining the blue/white crowd....sadly you mate adopted the sheep approach and joined the family flock of SDFC....how exciting and innovating of you mate.....

as for my interest in SD....naagh not Andy mate....Starcevich kicked 15 on me one day in U/15.....surely that performance would of swayed me over to Perth Oval at the time before Andy's ....that 84 GF loss was gutting at the time....but SD had a fantastic team then... so no disgrace there...unlike SD now eh mate?....farkin disgrace they are now don't you reckon?

Quite simply.... the "selected" Black Duck Brethren here on Oz Footy intrigue me the most....no other supporter base here on Oz Footy are like it or act like it........in your guys eyes SD are the only WAFL club to have injury problems, umpire prejudice, most passionate fan base, best club facilities and development program for juniors........it's so farkin insular it's beyond funny....AND you guys totally believe it....well you, SwanDog and 42....I just can't help myself having a dig I just love funny things....but don't take my digs personally....you guys are passionate SD fans....but what is so funny is that you guys aren't 5 - 15 years old....you are all 40 yr plus grown ups....it's farkin hilarious....I laugh at myself for being 49 and seeking a yarn on a public footy forum.....you guys just take it to the next level....and you guys experienced the REAL WAFL comp for a bees dick time span.....thank fark SD were winning at the time is all I say to capture your interest in what was once an elite standard comp.....

Freeze maybe you misread the most telling factor in this 4 or 5yo black duckling becoming part of the brethren in following the Mighty Black & Whites in the late 70s when we were going about as well as this year and on a par with EF last 20!!

pretty sure SD didn't play off in 2 GF in the 70's mate..but hey BH think you need to use the term lamb instead of duckling.... .....

anyway how many GF have SD played in over that same 20 year period as EF?..think less TBH ......though I am more than happy to concede SD have won more drug tainted, cap rorting flags then EF over this time period though ....the levels some folk drop down to, in order to seek some success..... .....no doubt you are gonna tell me it was all an innocent mistake....how many years did Cass get suspended for?....and what was that SD fine again? ...at least that 98 flag of EF was clean..... on and off the park
