2017 SEASON PREVIEW

After their 20 goal demolition of Peel in last years Grand Final, triple premiers Subiaco have recruited heavily in the offseason securing high profile signings in Lance Franklin, Gary Ablett and Patrick Dangerfield. They have also imported Joe Flacco to run water.

South Freo have taken a different approach to recruiting, signing former umpires Stuart Parry, Scott Mcphee and Matt Adams. Considering they have been playing for South already it should be an easy transition.

After wooden spooners Swan Districts volunteered to drop down to WAAFL North Beach have taken their spot in the WAFL. After hearing this news West Perth has withdrawn from the 2017 season fearing for their players safety.

Perth are expected to do the same thing they do every year.

No news to report on the other teams, more updates to come

Outer why so modest? I would have thought it would be easier to buy out the struggling Gold Coast, Ablett has to play out his contract, Jaeger O'Meara will thrive under Matt Barbers Dean Capabianco program coming off a knee reco, Tom Lynch at ff Aaron Hall will relish the wide open pastures over here but maybe out the goodness of your heart you could let South have Brandon Matera back?

A day in the life of Swan 42

Like most near pensioners 42 is up before dawn, feeling a little frisky he gives his life partner an Oxford Thesaurus a little nudge, his advances are ignored so he tries again threatening legal action but the tired thesaurus is having none of it. He gives up and decides to get up and start his day. First up he looks out his front window to make sure no damn kids are on his front lawn with his lawyers number already half dialed. Unfortunately he sees no kids to yell at so disappointed he makes himself some eggs and checks Ozfooty to make sure no opposition supporters are in HIS Swans thread. His face turns red with fury when he sees that Freeze has dared to comment on a Swans thread. Overcome with anger he yells out to his thesaurus "honey come quick, it's go time". Satisfied that he has posted more than enough big impressive words he retires to the shower to rub one out whilst glowing with self satisfaction. He checks Ozfooty one last time before heading off to teach his year 8 English class. After a long day of impressing kids with his big words he's finally home and into the arms of his beloved thesaurus. After once again checking Ozfooty he instructs her to boil a pot because they have a long night ahead "that bloody seagulls at it again"

South will get off to a flyer after Hams ducks his way into 62 first quarter free kicks infront of goals. Swans won't be able to catch them even after Stiffy Harding decides to throw on the entire bench and 7 supporters from the can bar riding trail bikes, despite this tactic Swans finish the match with just 1 rushed behind. Man child Ricky Carey is no help after going missing for the entire second half chasing a butterfly into the outer then becoming lost until finding an adult who returned him to his minder.

Ian "Beiber" Richardson starts the game with simply fabulous hair but fades out of the game rapidly as it looses its body and volume, he's taken down into the rooms for some blow dry therapy but fails to return to the game. George Hampson stars kicking 13 despite tearing both hamstrings in the the first quarter and doing his right ACL in the third, trainers strapped him up and he was good to return kicking a further 6 riding a mobility scooter.

Joondy suffer a shocking run of injuries in the first after someone looks at Halligan the wrong way and he glasses them. Cockie takes out 3 defenders, the boundary fence and first 3 rows of seats after chasing a ball out of bounds. Horse plays a blinder after being promised a salt lick and roll in sawdust after the game. Liam Ryan is rushed to hospital after being decapitated by the Ch7 chopper whilst taking a mark. Doctors are unable to reattach his head.

TOSG I wouldn't have quite expressed it the same way with respect to EP vs PT but the sentiment is the same.
