Was really impressed with both players - Well done to both!

No surprise to us keen WAFL followers Grump.
Davo was the best impact player in the WAFL for the last few years and his loss is proving hard to overcome for us atm. Interesting that Townsend has made a bit of a song and dance about Hardings alleged comment re Davo vs Newman and yet Townsend himself didn't even have Davo in his WAFL Top 40 a couple of seasons ago!!
Another rookie who impressed on the weekend was former SD/WP player Marcus Adams. Once again no surprise to those who follow WAFL footy closely although first hand embarrassing for those Fremantle recruiters who continually bypassed him despite being right under their noses for the last 5 years!!

Adams looked right at home with the doggies had a great first up AFL game, but as you said no surprise to anyone who saw him in the WAFL. Just loved the commentators rabbiting on about him being a rookie (mature age), totally discounting his years in the WAFL which is a physically tougher comp than the AFL run-fest.

interesting comment re Davis BH when you consider Menegola finished ahead of him in last years Sandover after playing only 11 or so games....hmmmm.

I couldn't give a monkeys about the Sandover it is only an umpires medal and most of us with a grasp of footy know how much of a clue the WAFL umpires have!
Have a look at the impact Davis's loss has been to Swans compared to Menegola's to $cumi to make a more astute judgement!

that won't work...Davis was a very good player in an average side compared to Mena who was a star at WAFL level in a premiership side...which one do you think would hurt the most? the affect of his departure on Swans doesn't necessaily make him the best impact player in the WAFL....it just makes him an important loss to the bogans.

Why would anyone take any note of someone who puts WAFL umpires votes up as a football ability credential!

Follow that logic and Kracks was just a handy player in 2010 as the umps have no idea.

Grasso and Wasley I believe fit BH logic more so than Kaks does SS.....think BH has dug himself a huuuge hole here with that comment.......How Mick and Jeremy won Sandovers will be up there along side other great world wide mystery's such as the deaths of Marilyn Munroe, Harold Holt and Shergar!......
