I thought I would create a new topic so our supporters can express their view of our great victory in the colts' GF against a very good Claremont team.

The victory today highlighted a very good season for Swans on and off the field. Those Swans' supporters who attended the game today, and there were many, saw a number of players who will be regular members of our league team next season.

Congratulations to Trent Cooper and his coaching staff, all the players who played throughout the year and also to their parents and our supporters who got right behind the team. As has been mentioned the depth of feeling in Jason Daniels's acceptance speech was indicative of the spirit that all the boys played throughout the season. How prescient and inspired was the decision to put his photo in the budget. Also, well done to Swans for having the faith in our colts players to promote them to our ressies and league teams which Trent Cooper stated today helped the boys in pressure situations in the second semi and the grand final today.

Also, well done to Percy Johnson for his contribution in helping develop our colts' players this season.

We can look forward to a good season in 2015.

Well said 42 and congrats to Jason JD Daniels on winning the Whinnen Medal as B.O.G to go with Alby Dean's Jack Clarke Medal in the Colts season.
We must also make mention of young Jack Watson who unfortunately missed the GF with glandular fever after starring at Centre Half Back all year culminating in his Colts Team Of The Year selection in that position.
Well done to all the boys, Trent and everyone involved with the team. :)

Claremont are a very good team with a number of probable draftees but Swans allowed them too score only one point in the last quarter of the second semi and held them scoreless in the final quarter yesterday

Not an easy feat and testimony to their depth and resolve.

There were also many players who contributed throughout the year when some colts were playing up in reserves and their efforts should not be forgotten.

Didn't get there Swan42 but followed it closely via the WAFL site during the morning. Looked like a well fought out game with a very worthy opponent, but our boys prevailed in the end and they certainly deserved the spoils after a great season. I look forward to seeing a lot more of these boys as they get promoted through the ranks next year and 2015 looks like a very exciting year for the club.

Congratulations to the Swans Colts, watched the game and they showed what a well drilled and skilled team they are, I thought they had the Tigers measure from the outset and understood what they had to do to win in the conditions.

One question, why didn't the blakely boys play, I thought connor and th younger lad had qualified and would have been in the first 23.

Cheers Grump.
In regards the Blakely boys Nathan is too old for Colts and played League all year whilst Connor is 18 he played in our League side all year (bar State 18's duties) the same as Aiden Anderson.
I also believe Connor was injured in our 1st Semi Final loss to Old Easts and more than likely would not have been able to play for the rest of the season.
Maybe the State 18's games should count as Colts games anyway in my opinion.

Went to the Colts awards night last night.

What a great respectful bunch of guys. Coops and his coaching staff should be very proud. Alby Dean again scooped a heap of awards.

Turtle could you please give the top 5 or 6 places. Was Percy there as a matter on interest?
