Notte wants to play on and has assured all in attendance at the Legends Lunch that he will be right to go for Round 1 next year. There was even a bit of a murmur that he will suit up next week....

That is just fantastic news. The injury obviously wasn't as dire as first thought. Wouldn't be risking bringing him back this year though. Round 1 2023 would be just fine

Tony will be back on the Oval as quickly as he can.  Should he break the games record one day, it will be like winning a premiership.  I might even put a motion to council to name a street after the great man.

The injury obviously not as severe as first thought. Though I know little of ACL's

It probably didn't matter if we had 3 Tony Notte playing last Sunday,with Peels Dockers player's.
He left a massive hole in Swans.His beautiful accurate kick and strong overhead marking.Tony kicking could of broken total domination of the centre of the ground.

They had put so much effort and energy into that win over West Perth that they had nothing left for Peel.  Fisher coming off injured didnt help either but it wasn't just sunday. They lost too many away games this year to deserve a finals spot. The WACA loss was the one that really snuffed out their chances

That is one of the tragic aspects of footy. A well respected long term one club player that has played as many matches as he, not getting to experience finals footy.
