Well after our hard fought 1 point win against Subi at Leederville we were supposed to travel to Claremont this week for another battle with the top side coming off a loss in their previous game.
But with New South Welshman McGowan pulling his usual lockdown in the middle of the footy season it is all looking a little forlorn that this weekends footy will be played let alone with a crowd allowed in attendance.
 

it will most affect the clubs outside the top 5 if it gets the can mate given there's a 2 game buffer with Swans' win on the weekend - lets all hope games are played on Sunday to allow some time

The WAFC has now postponed (more than likely canned) this round of fixtures now.

If I was cynical I would think that the decision to postpone the round was made because the two WA domiciled AFL teams' players have temporarily abandoned WA and would not be available to play in the WAFL this week end.

Will be interesting to see if this weekend's fixtures will be played another weekend later in the year? Thus extending the qualifying rounds by a week. Should be possible given it's only 7 days. I do realise the lockdown duration will have an influence on the decision. At this stage is due to end late Friday night. Although the situation could be extended.

There would be no other reason why they would make that decision so early in the piece 42.
Once again the WAFC cowtowing to the WCE & Freo! 

Yep Freo took their whole squad to Melb barring their injured players. That would have left Peel with nothing left.

Doubtful as that would put the gf the same weekend as the afl gf

Just made the 3oclock news service.All Wafl games cancelled this weekend.

To digress slightly, why are there more Sunday fixtures listed on the WAFL site in the future than are listed in the footy budget?
