A couple of big outs for the Cardinals but to add something the other way a veteran Jason Salecic makes his return to the WAFL after a few years out of the game

Matt Riggio is out injured which is really disappointing. I'm sure he would have wanted to be a part of Tony Nottes 250th game given they have played so many of these together.

Riggs got injured in the 1st qtr last week Mike but after missing the whole 2nd qtr whilst they assessed his injury and retaped it etc he came back on in the 2nd half playing deep forward allowing us an extra rotation which came in handy late especially when Riggs was involved with both the goals to put us in front late too.

What an abysmal last quarter that was, Swans just stepped aside and allowed West Perth to take the game. How do you cough up a 5 goal lead in the 3rd quarter in Tony Nottes 250th? Unbelievable really. Credit to West Perth who just kept plugging away when they were having some real issues in the first half. It eventually came good for them and they rolled all over us in the final term. Riddoch didn't do much but his 3 goals absolutely killed us.

The only 3 players who stood out for the whole game were Anderson, Cipro and Gault. Whoever was on Fisher did a great shut down job on him and we just had too many passengers on the day. If anyone can tell me how the coaching staff rate Sideris as a league standard player can you please let me know the reasons? He is too small, is pushed aside too easily and his disposals put his teammates under pressure.

Today just reiterates that even though Swans have improved we still have a long way to go. We are 6th on the ladder and all the teams we have beaten are below us.

Ouch. A great game of footy I hear until three quarter time. Swans went to sleep in the final term and the Falcons came away with a narrow victory. That was a game Swans needed to win. According to the fixturing, they have the next two matches at Home. Next week against Subiaco and then Home again hosting East Fremantle. They would not be favourites in either match I'd thought.

As I keep saying Mike we are a 6th to 9th side at best, pretenders who beat up on bottom teams occasionally but most of the time just scrape in over them but are not up to the "big boys" like WP and continually go missing when the heat is applied.
The last 45 minutes were nothing short of classic SD footy since 1995 absolute garbage and an insult to Tony and all he has given our club for the last 14 years.
Also why was Cipro not in the centre square for bouncedowns for most of the last qtr and played at half forward instead?

Has anyone heard from our laddie Bobby Marley?
I hope he hasn't choked on one of his steak dinners much like Swans consistently do!

I hope to be at our next home game against Subi in a fortnight's time.  3 goals and 2 behinds in the second half is disappointing to say the least.  I would be interested to hear from those who were there how many players were in our forward line in the second half?

Was Palmer injured during the match?  Looking at the stats I see Palmer, Edwards and Noble had 3, 4 and 6 kicks respectively.  Does anyone have any comments about that?

Thanks in anticipation.

Laddies calm your troubled hearts. The munchers couldn’t win this game if they started now. Swans Are in form and west Perth with injuries is enough for a easy win. And
with the great tony Notte playing a milestone game I can see 8 plus here.

A message from my very good friend and comrade in war, LEEDY. So, West Perth with nine regular league players down.  TEAM IS KAPUTT, so the commentators say. Two newbie’s in the side, GREEN AS GRASS. A fellow who is 37 years of age who hasn’t played league football for years, Commentators say West Perth ARE DESPERATE. Three senior West Perth players carrying injuries in the game, what a shambles HEY. So Marley, your prediction of an eight goal plus win, you want to go back to your clairvoyant mate because your BLACK DODO DUCKS fell apart even with your ten point players. Every West Perth player today is a Perth Boy How good was RUDY. How good was Yukich. What a bugger that Potente didn’t play. Well done to Tony Notte. Ripper player, ripper bloke.

i think marley might be on a different page to all of us..i wasn't impressed by swans last week and the west perth game was for the taking with a very depleted side.in saying that you still could fall into the five or worst case 8th.four teams vying for 5th position.swans, sharks, falcons and the demons.won't matter they will all be lame ducks.swans have done well with who they have recruited but will need to build on what they have. next year.
