Yep BH the 2012 second semi +Preliminary are the two worse umpiring games I've ever seen in my time of watching footy. The whole match v Claremont and the first qtr v EF.

Looks like Bayok, Riley, Edwards, Watson & More are the Ins from last weeks League poor showing.
I will be extremely disappointed (but unfortunately not surprised) if they cant lift and give far more effort for one of the great club servant's in Riggs 200th tomorrow.

Riggio. What a good player he has been over last decade or so. I feel we will have a great day at steel blue tomorrow and upset the demons who look shaky with injury.

Good performance by Swans today.Nathan B dominated in the ruck.First hands on the footy + Jesse Turner using that penetration going direct.Kohlmann and Tony Notte leading strongly.Payne up fwd very good also. How about that goal at halftime. Black Swan bar got drank dry. So it was a good day for Swans.
Well done Matt..Defense looked solid, mids moved the ball quickly.. Hope this is what we will see in 2021 -players like taking the game on.Midway through the last qtr Swans went back to there old habits and looked bad..Lucky Perth where really off after qtr time.

Gault rucked most of the game, dominated, Perth not having a decent ruck gave us first use of the footy.
How good do we look when we attack our goals and not play rubbish footy.
McDonald looks a gun but Denver was outstanding today.
We were very desperate today especially in defence.
Well done to Riggs, what a top player

Outstanding performance by the boys, they did it for Riggs. The first half was their best footy for the whole season. 9 goals a reward for midfield dominance, pace and spread and direct football to the marking forwards. The 3rd quarter was a bit bizarre, a nil all draw but heading home with the breeze in the last, Swans resumed their quick ball movement and fittingly Matt Riggio got the last goal. If it is to be his last game at Bassendean, it will be a memorable one for him.
Our midfield had many contributors today and the load was spread unlike last week when Fisher was the lone hand. He was good again today but so was Cipro, Turner, Anderson and Gault. Grainger- Barass was outstanding in his 2nd last game for Swans, Notte played his best game of the season and Edwards showed a bit I thought, also Doc lifted today as well. Overall a great team effort.
I was quite surprised how little Perth brought to the table today particularly given that their season was on the line. They seemed lumbering and were not able to cope with Swans fast ball movement. Their kicking was hap hazard and Logan Mcdonald did well to kick 3 goals given the way the ball was being delivered. They didnt fire a shot in the 2nd half when I had expected them to mount a comeback.
Great respect to the Perth players for staying on the ground after the game and clapping Riggs off. That showed a lot of character I thought, well done guys.
Now if Swans can sign off next week with a strong performance at Shark Park, this will give us a little bit of momentum to take into the pre- season and 2021.

Yes Doc was poor early but got some run into him and played his best game, probably been a weird year for him with work.
Agreed Mike that we need to back that game up and play that brand of footy again
Denver’s marking was brilliant

Spot on Mike & MO with the above, why on earth we do not play more attacking, long, direct, run and spread style footy like we did for most of today has me dumbfounded?
It is a very simple game at the end of the day that is made all the more difficult at times with the modern coaching philosophies!
We do desperately need a speedy crumbing small forward or 2 (like the very many we have produced over the years) who knows how to sniff a goal, get to the fall of the ball from the contests our key forwards make whilst also applying forward half pressure on the opposition when they are trying to move the ball out of our 50m arc.

Cheers to the Dees boys for coming upstairs after the game, best of luck next week vs SF, I hope you boys get into the finals.

Thanks Beas but I have given up believing in miracles.I thought Swans were superb today and if you had a fair draw to start the season then who knows how you might have ended up. I agree with MO that McDonald was good for us but Grainger had his measure after half time.
