Looks like a few changes are in order.....Bosisto seems to score runs at number 6....why open with him?....obviously Short will come in.....looks like WA has two great talents in Hardie and Green....be interesting to see if Whiteman gets in...Turner needs to find some form for Freo....Cartwright is another on limited time.....gone backwards since his test debut.....bowling looks ok, batsmen need to step.....familiar story all round Australia it seems on the first class scene.....

Can someone please explain to me how Ashton Agar has been "rested" for the current Shield clash vs Vic after only playing 1 four day game in the 10 weeks so far of the cricket season???

And how on earth do the WA selectors once again pick 30yo Wells who has been poor in his Shield games this year at the expense of a talented young bloke in Josh Phillipe???

Completely defies logic BH. No wonder the Warriors are all over the place. They also seem to me to be short of a specialist bowler in this match.

Mike I can see our talented young blokes who continually get overlooked for these completely out of form veterans doing what the likes of Katich, Rogers, Harris, Casson, Stoinis, Brayshaw et al have done in the past and jump ship to another state...and that is why we have been down in the doldrums for 20 years or so!

and even worse BH....Maddinson has carted the WA bowlers around the park all day too....farking Nic Maddinson!.....how Hardie didn't get a look in astounds me.....scored more runs than 5/6 of Aust top order today in one inning v the same Indian bowling attack......if u r gonna rest Green, why not play Hardie?.......

The world has gone mad guys! 18 wickets fell on the first day of a game in Hobart FFS. A batters paradise supposedly. Who is Alex Pyecroft? He took 5 - 18 to reduce Queensland to a shambolic score.

I see our batsmen have excelled again. One of them has a first class average of 32, I wonder if anyone at the WACA will notice? One has played for five seasons and averagged just 23.00

I think the title of this thread is not really accurate. Maybe a new thread with a title such as "self inflicted mediocrity" might be more apt.

Do you think the WACA cares how WA performs in the Sheffield Shield?

Swan 42: I have never been a member of the WACA for various reasons; but for people who are members, it is time to start asking questions. They only survive because people turn up to the Ashes cricket and the KFC silly season. Their biggest nightmare will be any suggestion from the ACB to bring in another team from WA.
