10 new faces for Rd 1- hazard a guess? Must include guys like Bennett that weren’t here last year. Going by the website articles from interview with players ect:

Of the rest, Adamini, Baskerville, Havelberg, Stokes, Sorrell?? Does it include new Colts?

Perhaps colts eligible Jez Sharp may be in the mix for a debut....under ager A/A from last year's U/18 champs....though highly unlikely colts eligible Trent Rivers or Luke Jackson perhaps.....I guess you could put Boekhorst in there too...considering he played only 5 mins last year...plus ex colt Max Murphy has been mentioned in the preseason write ups too

Would love to see this kid get picked up- reckon we won’t have him long if he didn’t by mid March. God knows what happened last season- another great example of the new Talent model being the dogs breakfast. Bill sorted him out in 4 months

KC...whilst great news for O'Reilly if he does get a lifeline through this new AFL top up draft....not sure all the blame can be put at the door of the new talent model....worked well for Jordan Clark, Tom Joyce, Luke Foley et al.....Perhaps O'Reilly thought he was a cert for drafting after his 2017 season and became complacent.....not getting drafted and true,Monaghans arrival, might have been the kick up the arse the kid needed....but blame also should be directed at the player not solely the system for when things plateau....anyhow time will tell....

Though in all honesty would of thought those sort of top up spots should go to mature players who are physically and mentally ready to go from the off....would of thought O'Reilly was still lacking in both areas right now...especially at the elite level.

the people that made him start the year in colts have a lot to answer for, saw him play league footy in 2017 and he held his own, why you would send him back to play against a bunch of kids the next year is mind-boggling...

Didn't have as good a colts year in 2018 compared to 2017 tho MO...so I guess his form didn't warrant a league spot...did read tho he trained with the senior squad preseason last year....who knows what Wiley et al were thinking....sounds like the kid is focused again and Billy has a plan for him this year....not sure a spot on an AFL list is gonna be good for him considering he has just done a WAFL preseason....surely he would be on the back foot fitness wise....especially at his age.

my point was why would you start someone who had played league footy and played well back in the colts in the first place..all that does is teach bad habits, I would have thought he needed to be challenged and play against men in a better standard not kids in colts.
