As stated on a post on the Subiaco thread it would appear that he will be at Swan Districts for 2018. My understanding is that he wanted to come back to East Fremantle but there wasn't enough left in the recruiting budget to meet his price. Good luck at Swans!

Good luck to Palmer on his career at SD....at least whatever tsf fee EF paid for Boekhurst will be reimbursed by SD for Palmer....interesting to hear SD wasn't Palmers first choice then Custy....

Also interesting to hear Freeze your recruiting budget was all spent on picking up boys from other WAFL clubs and thus there was none left over for a home grown local lad by the sounds!

Would like to think the 3 local boys recruited by EF ruled out any chance EF had for recruiting just one local player......... hopefully SD have enough locker space for Rhys BH...I hear he doesn't travel lightly mate...

Oops, sounds like the Gummies must have stumbled upon a copy of Swans 2000 - 2010 foreign legion recruiting policy document. Yes of course it could have been Subi's policy but I doubt it as our management is far too professional to let that happen!!

My mail was he didn't turn up to the original meeting. Was overseas and Darwin while the rest of the squad were doing the hard yards. Shopped himself around and was asking for big dough. We had other players who were keen and were signed accordingly. See ya later!!!

our recruiting was done ages ago bh & palmer didn't give a shit then & probably doesn't now to go with avoiding doing too much of a pre-season

now as for boekhurst coming to the sharks....I am sure your club would of offered a great deal more for a young, ex afl & local boy to return to his grassroots than we ever could of - so it begs the question you need to ask yourself why didn't he come home to sd??????????????

His manager contacted Swans and wanted money up front and Swans were not able to meet those demands and they never heard back and he decided on the Sharks.
Pretty simple really.
As for Palmer, Swans met with him before Xmas and he said East Freo his preference so must have run out of money at Shark park.

funny that cos palmer wanted money up front & we wouldn't pay back then nor now.....so sd obviously are prepared to pay for his services up front but not for their own??????
